Amf he may have been a little harsh with you but he also made some valid points as well. We have spoken privately and you have heard my advice. You know thats not a dig or attack at you ;) so please no one else take it that way.

However in my opinion he didn't go about it in the right way.
 
One of the biggest problems with conversing through forums is, you only get the words. Communication is not just about words and it's easy to misinterpret, read between the lines and even assume the person meant 'A' when really they meant 'B'.

When you talk face to face you can read body language, facial expression and vocal tone. All of which allows you to get the whole message, not just the words. This is all missing in forums, have you ever tried sarcasm and have it not work out the way you expected?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, we need to be aware of this and take into account I may not have gotten all the message. Asking for clarification is easy, blowing up and asking forgiveness can be seriously humbling and very, very hard to do.

Amf, i wont argue about that, i did make a hint towards that in my post. That was just another example where things got blown way past where they should of. Iirc it started out as constructive criticism that got blown out into a long drawn out pissing match. Oldnews, horseisdead. You know i have no problems with you or anyone on these boards. Ive said before, i come here to learn about and discuss things that I enjoy, if I wanted the drama, my wifes friends can fill that need. ( take note, when they come to my house, i head on over to a friends ;) )

Hm, I wonder if he can reopen Project R thread if he feels like returning later? That's the only thing I'm afraid of about being on 'team red'. We can lock threads we create. :scared:

This is bad timing too because his reviews were probably already done and just waiting on the rest of us to get our CSR-E wheels. Hopefully he cools off, get's the Project R thread unlocked, and comes back.
 
I do believe he can reopen it when he feels the time is right. If not, i am sure a mod would. Something similar happened in the tuning forum not to long ago. Someone was getting on praiano for using their tuning "theories" and he closed his garage thread, but then decided to re-open it.

Its not fair either way round, and believe me I have followed many threads and so called discussions involving Mr Latte and numerous others. To be quite fair, everyone is as bad as each other, however there was a higher degree of unfair criticism being levelled at Mr Latte. Lots of silly comments and wild accusations. I am not saying he is clean of all offence but some people need to step back and realise he is not the enemy.

He seems like a very nice guy and for the most part avoids attacks and confrontations but as with any human being he can only take so much in terms of unfair criticism and and silly accusations.

I told mr Latte he was an asset to the forum, he just gets too excited at times. I would rather debate without raising my voice and I pretty sure everyone else feels the same.

But every opinion written in this forum should be heard without getting abusive comments hurled at them.

Again mr Latte I apologize for any hurtful remarks. :)

You have heard from others that he has been confrontational with them. I have receivrd at least a dozen PM's in support, some have called him a bully. See my above response.
 
I agree with what you say, and confrontational yes, I have seen he can be. But a bully? Its a strong word to throw around on a text based area.
 
Personally, just hoping he is alright and taking a break from the drama. Remember this. It is more than a hobby to some, and a passion to others. Thanks for your help Latte.

Precisely, every single one of us have been involved in a tete a tete on a forum. So to start singling out one person is a little bit lame in my opinion. Yes he may have been wrong in some of the recent 'discussions' I read but so were plenty of other people. Including posters in here sticking the boot in.

I know, I just feel its a bit strong for people to be saying it. As someone who was a victim of bullying in school and has seen bullying going on at work I can strongly disagree with whoever it was who did say it.
 
Seems we're getting close to a place I feared we'd get to when I started this thread. I really don't want to go down this road.

I don't think we need anymore public bashing, bad mouthing or whatever of anyone!

well I don't a lot of chatting here mainly just reading because of the great info...so for me I wiil really miss that thread...

As well as many of us looking forward to hearing it as well. I know it will play a role in my up coming decision. Along with waiting a few months to see about quality control.

I'm not communicating with him. The other evil twin has apologised on more than one occasion.

Everyone loves a good drama though.
Wouldn't be surprised if his next post is indeed his review. Along with a good backslapping, rib tickling and smelling each others farts.

All is not lost.
 
Youll have to see the bright side of it... without having to write up the reports he will probably have time to finish the Rig alot sooner...
 
I enjoyed watching it progress, and like most I will be eagerly awaiting the re-opening of the thread.

Well I've seen him posting again so maybe one day he'll reopen it. What made the thread even more interesting was all the gadgets the guy has. He's like Batman or something with all those 3d projectors, sound systems, & multiple displays.
