So I am trying to remove the bar from the T500RS pedals that is used for the GT-style configuration, as I will be using them in the alternate F1-style for the foreseeable future. I've managed to take off the two braces on either side by unscrewing the bolts with a hex key, but now I'm struggling with how to remove the clip (as shown in picture below). Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can remove this? Has anyone else managed to disassemble their pedals?

Thanks.

That will show you how they get removed. You don't need the special tool just a couple of small screw drivers will work or some small needle nose pliers.

Thank you for your response. I attempted to try and get them off by wedging the tip of a flat head screwdriver into the gap, but all I've managed to do so far is scratch the metal. As I don't own any needle nose pliers, would something like this work?

Are the tips of the pliers a standard size? Or do I have to get a set specific to the size of the retaining clip on the pedals?

Thanks again.

If you buy that kit you will have the right size to fit.

I've managed to get the ring off by using small screwdriver and normal plier. You just have to be patient, push in the right point and direction.

The best is to use special plier though..
