Disconnected From Server

I know this is not the first post about this issue but I am seriously about to run my head through a F'N wall!!!:banghead:

I love this game and I love nothing more than to run a good clean NASCAR race at Daytona with some good racers that I've met over the past year on-line. For the first 6 to 8 months of owning this game and constantly racing on-line, I never had an issue and throughly enoyed it. However, the past few months have been a completely differently story.

The story goes:
I search for a clean NASCAR room (or any type of room for that matter...), select join room, get "Disconnected From Server".
~~~OR~~~
Find a room, Join it, Wait for race to start, (MAYBE) get to start the race, get "Disconnected From Server" before I can finish a 11 lap race.

As I said before, I know I'm not the only one experencing this. I have seen numerous threads/posts about a wide range of error messages. I have tried every single suggestion except switching internet service providers. No luck.

In the past month I have MAYBE finished a dozen races (tried racing over a hundred I bet)

I have came to the conclusion that there is nothing I can do except complain enough that MAYBE Polyphony Digital or Playstation Network takes notice and actually does something about it. This has been going on for too long and there have been numerous updates durring this time. WHY WON'T THEY FIX IT!?!?!?

So... If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can keep my sanity, play my favorite game on this earth, and keep me from breaking my hand while hitting random things to vent my anger... PLEASE HELP. Thanks.:D
 
There is nothing wrong with your internet provider it is a problem with GT5 servers. I also have been having that same problem just not as often as you say you are. I have checked my connection and there is nothing wrong with it also I have no problem with other games online just GT5. Instead of making stupid racing suits and helmets they need to work on there server problems.
 
I agree, Racing suits doesn't make for good gameplay. Actually being able to play the game makes for good gameplay.

Unfortunatly, I truely am having problems as often as I said. Since the 2.0 update (that i was hoping would have a fix to the problem), I have tried reseting my modom, router, turned EVERYTHING off and back on again, tried racing in over a dozen rooms, and have yet to make it past the 2nd lap. VERY FRUSTRATING.
 
Since the 2.0 update I have been online and it is worst today than it has been. I think they have some bugs with the new update that they need to get worked out. Don't they test these updates before giving them to us. Or maybe we are the test dummys lol. I think online issues should be top priority before anything else. I know they are releasing a dlc pack for the game on 10-18-11 but if the online issues aren't fixed why would I want to spend any money on that if I can't play it online without issues.

I can't even play the game I always get disconnected.
 
Yep, I've been noticing this as well. I tried joining a karting room and was "disconnected from server" at least 3 times before finally their server decided to let me play. My equipment is fine and I'm using a wired connection on my PS3.
 
i was NEVER and i say.. NEVER been able to partecipate to a online race for the same problem: disconnected from server.
my internet connection works fine with everything else, no problem at all. so i quit trying and play offline.

Find a new favorite game? Pd doesn't even talk about the issue, let alone worry about fixing it. Lobbing a call to your ISP might help if you have a Cable provider. Mine offered to come out and investigate..
 
I keep getting this problem as well. Its so annoying. This is one problem that should definitely be fixed sooner or later.

Also, is it just me, or are the room entering times a hell of a lot longer than they were?
 
Remember You are not alone LOL in GT5 Planet strange things happens. I am haunted with this issue every time I play online.

And yes as someone said instead of giving us helmets and uniforms they should solve their servers problems. Who wants new items if you cannot play online to earn them.

I gave up a while ago. Every now and then I will get on (kinda forgetting about server issues) and less then a min into it I get disconnected. Then Im like "oh ya". I had issues with black ops a little too but thats it. LAN or WIFI...doesnt seem to matter.
 
Same problem here for me.
I second the no more suits.....and

No more seasonal's.
No more Online collector's dealership.
No museum cards.
No more DLC.
No more gifts.:grumpy:

Please just fix online as it is all I do. If I go back to offline it is like starting another game, which requires more tuning. I'm sick of tuning and then having all that work ruined by an update which changed the whole picture. GET IT RIGHT AND STOP PLAYING WITH IT, please.

I think your problem probably related to amount of traffic surrounding update. Give it a few days or a week and it will be back to normal.
 
I was trying to set a room up to test something out. Everytime I tried to create the room it failed due to a connection error for about half an hour. Then when it worked I was booted as soon as someone else joined the room.
