I remember reading a lot time back when the two versions of GT5 were announced, that the collectors edition would entitle you to all future DLC, hence paying the extra cost up front.

I can't find the exact news post as it was like a year ago before GT5 was coming out and there is no easy way to search through old news posts...

Anyone got any idea if this will still hold true?

I see... I don't think I've ever heard of anything like that. Are you sure it said that somewhere?

EDIT: I can't find anything on it, so I'd imagine that is not true.

There are many winds blowing in the air right now, and every one of them is telling its own tale.

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

#5 Signature and Collectiors Editions are revealed, with Signature Edition being more than 3 times more expensive than usual one. Also, Signature Edition comes with all bonus cars from the start.

I can't imagine I'm the only one who remembers this crazy awesome post from Amar212. But it seems pretty clear in his metaphor that buying the more expensive version receives "all present and future treasures" where future treasures could only mean DLC IMHO.

It meant Chrome and Stealth cars, plus the really expensive one got a scale model SLS, a guide, some posters or something.

In no way did Amar mean all future DLC's, and it doesn't matter anyway because Amar is not a official source so you couldn't base his words on anything concrete. As mentioned it refered to Chrome and Stealth cars at the time.

I don't see how that could be interpreted as meaning only the bonus cars that came with the CE. Because he mentions that the cheaper version will "ask for more sacrifices for future treasures" and I know that you could never buy the CE bonus cars from any other source other than buying the CE edition. I know he's not an official source, but he obviously has connections as he hasn't ever really been wrong about any of his "predictions."

Actually you're mistaken. They could very likely release all of those cars as DLC. Turn 10 did it with Forza 3. And why not, it's simply adds to their profits. Just because they havnt doesn't mean they wont

Granted that is a certainly a possibility, I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm mistaken considering it has not happened yet nor been alluded to. Also this would kinda be a slap in the face to the CE customers.
