DLC down side...

You are overthinking this whole ordeal by a longshot. I am amazed that you're actually getting anxious and worried over DLC. Shouldn't the proper response to upcoming (and long-awaited) DLC be that of excitement and eagerness?

I really don't understand some of you kids.

I'm only truly excited about the cost. So cheap! Amazing how DiRT 3 DLC can cost you less or equal to the game itself yet GT5's DLC is so cheap and definitely better quality. :)

A little eager to get onto Spa. Not that big into it, but it is a great track and I love to drive on it.

Yes we kids are quite odd. But I'm very different then any other in my school, a one of a kind. ;)

That's how I hope they make it work. They should've just made any and all DLC cars purchasable in the dealership to begin with.

I haven't been diagnosed with it... I did search it up on wikipedia (not a great place but oh well) and I must say, pretty much all of the things it said, is what I do. The first paragraph just screams out "That's you!"

I should probably get checked out though. My mother says I have OCD. :p Not a credible course.. but oh well.

Example: I simply MUST have either 20, 40, 60, 80 cars in my garage. I touch each key on the keyboard an equal amount of times, I must get the same feel every touch I make with both hands, all fingers and thumb. Currently as I'm typing my pinkie finger continuously hits random keys. I must then engage in a touching fest to equalize the feeling. Is this not OCD? :dunce:

It sure is. "Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

Won't it be for sale in unlimited quantities like the rest of the cars?

We don't know that. Others say they're RM cars so yes, but they are classified as Touring Cars. It's all up to when it's released.

That wouldnt be nice at all from PD, if we are not allowed to buy the DLC cars as many times as we want in the game! What if I want a stock and tuned version uh? PD better not mess this one up.

Delete your game data, re-download your DLC from PSN store, re-update your game, use the new restore all thumbnail feature = Brand new stealth/dlc cars, no loss thumbnails which was the initial problem with deleting your game data. This all works out in my head but I haven't tried it.

Sounds like a lot of work! Not really.. I'll probably forget something through the process.

Why repeat myself....

Logical (and most definitely PD) way - first delivery in white truck, want more? Buy from dealer.

They are Touring Cars not Race Mods so would be purchased from manufacturer dealership...

I'm getting the DLC for the Prius RM it looks cool but I don't like how they put the DLC cars in the 2.0 opening movie because it might make people think that the cars are now in the game and then they try it and they are disappointed

It does work, I did it a few months back as I had added some non-removable mods to my SLS Stealth, only difference was I had to recreate the thumbnails manually. :(

What do you guys mean by thumbnails?
Thumbnail = image in small dimensions that is an exact copy of a larger image.

The image of your car in your garage in GT5 case..
Custom thumbnail images are not made automaticly its only created when cars are modded in GT parts or GT auto then saved to HDD game data...
So if you wipe game data there are no custom thumb nails on the HDD so the image is blank.

Edit = I must type faster next time...... .

What is going to happen is that cars will go straight to your garage but they will be available also for purchase in the new car dealership, hence you do not have to spend credits as you have already spent your real money on DLC. Does it make sense?

Not sure about paint chips, gears and so on, but maybe they are unlimited so you can use them whenever you want, that would be the logical thing. We are spending real money so I'm sure they will not mess it up (hope not to swallow my words though). :scared:

I bet you get one added to youre gerage then they become available to buy at the concept by GT car dealer.

They come shipped as tickets first. ;) Keeping them out of your garage for the time being.

But even so, if you use the car and put an engine mod on it then your done. You'll have to wipe the DLC and redownload it to get rid of the engine mod.

Who would be stupid enough to do that by accident though? I'm definitely not going to tune them. So I'm quite fine.

Shouldn't PD have implemented it in a way that isn't idiotic? You know, in one of the two perfectly logical ways to put the cars in the game that are already used by other, similar cars?

Or any number of ways of putting the paints in the game?

PD would not know logic if it ran up and bit them on the ass.

No, the new cars are actually new. You don't get the option to RM these cars from the dealership.

I need definitive evidence of someone taking a car into the GT Auto and trying to race mod it.

So far I do not have this evidence since Amar did not provide it. He only stated that the cars can not be bought from the dealership.

I'm rather angry at this fact since I was hoping (here's my one and only expectation I had for DLC being ruined) that I could buy the cars and have them stock to use in 500PP events, since a few of them would probably be pretty close to 500PP without engine mods.

But if all the cars come pre-tuned with engine and turbo mods (granted turbo mods would actually not be too bad as long as they're removable)... then that just blew my one hope out of the water. It makes the cars predictable and it takes the fun out of running a series with the hope of using one of the cars in it.

I need someone to tell me that stock versions of these cars cannot be race modified. Please.

What's with all the new members thinking they can go around talking like this? It's like an influx of roaches just hit GTP.

What's with all the older members acting like those new members are wrong despite blinding amounts of evidence in their favor?
