My question is this. The DLC gear we got is there a non DLC copy of the same items.

And who bought a standard Jaguar XJR9 Group C car as DLC?

The DLC gear pack cost money to buy. An identical free version would make no sense - just as an identical Premium Jaguar XJR9, Nissan Leaf, Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin V12 Vantage and VW Beetle '66 (one car pack) just through playing the game wouldn't make any sense.

I know PD can sometimes take odd decisions, but ripping themselves off by giving you stuff for free in-game when it's in the PS Store for money..?

Ok thanks just curious. Reason being you always see people on GT5 Market place trading full sets of all gear so I thought I would come here to Q/A & ask

Jeff Gordon's suit was given out for free.
and some DLC helmets i have multiples of * i have all the DLC *

Any how PD patched that with the update after the first batch of DLC so you could no longer get the same colored helmet *skully * but you could still get variants.
