DLC Karts - currently in Arcade Mode right now!

The jr seens pointless in the game its too slow! and the 125 is almost 3+ sec's quicker around Autum mini than the original 100,the 125 spins easy though its like a mini FGT i wonder though if the 100's & the 125's will be able to drive together i hope not doesnt seen likely. and that vid made me hope somone was actually gonna drive the track.

A 50 hp, 125 shifter, that hits 130 mph will definitely round things out!!!

My only hope is that we can use all 3 Karts against each other online, like an expert karter in the Jr. vs a novice in a 125.

Or I was thinkning multi-class kart, maybe endurance racing. Like 8 guys in 125s and 8 guys in Juniors. Imagine a couple of 125s flying down Laguna Seca's main straight, weaving through swarms of Juniors, Battle Royale style...

As for why the karts are unlocked in arcade mode, it's so you can race them online if somone set a 50cc, 100cc, 125cc kart only room, this won't apply to the new touring cars since you can pick some other cars in the game, but kart races are restricted to specific karts only. Arcade only cars can be used online.

I am sorry what I meant was there is a psychological barrier to the whole "why do I need to pay for it when it's already physically on my disk"?

So at this point, we do already have it. It didn't come on the original disk but it's still nothing but an unlock code which is often viewed less as an unlock code and more as a "pay me to stop locking you out" code.

It's necessary to give every game the assets, because if you choose not to buy it, your game wouldn't be able to render the new cars others have chosen to buy if you went online, buying the passes then give you access to the new cars as well, just as if you had to download them seperatly. While it seems "evil" to lock you out of contents they've given you, there's a reason why they do this.

With this, at least when we get the DLC, there won't be another hour long download to contend with.

The rear view mirror seemed really off and the lighting, HA! I knew the lighting wasn't right.

What a devastation it will be if I can't drive the DLC Miata in there.

I'm not entirely sure how they escaped here either, probably for the purposes of the Karting restriction that can be given onto your car...but either way, this is currently the only way to drive any of the DLC thus far. Plus, the number of colours all 3 karts come in are pretty amazing too...

Sorry I'm late to the party, Kaz did reply a tweet on the day of the 2.0 patch release that the New Arcade Karts were meant for us to experience/test drive. Now we know.

So I finally got around to testing the new karts.

Is it just me or do the old 100, new 100, and 125 all have virtually identical performance? I hot lapped all three of them at Autumn Ring Reverse and they all placed within one second of each other. I thought the 125 would be a lot quicker. It's still different to drive though...

I love the new colours on the Karts! Some of them look like they came from the DLC, which is likely.

Yeah sure, but F1 is tied down with tight-as-🤬 restrictions. Look at the old 100 and the new 100 though. The old one had 33% more HP, but it still gets the same times. Or look at the new 100 and the 125: different aerodynamics, driving feel, and one would think HP. But again: same lap times.

I'm stunned how close these very different karts placed.

+1! I love the new candy colors, especially the orange and light blues. Almost feels retro.
