Dear PD,

I am a loyal fan. Please stop charging your loyal player base money for content.

Dear players,

Please retaliate. This is pure nonsense.

I love PD.

I love GT.

I love GTP.

I don't like being charged for content that should be free.

Stick it in GT6 if you must, but stop robbing your players.

This isn't about complaining.

This is about common sense. Be nice PD.

"Oh but everyone charges for DLC...besides, if you don't want to pay for it than don't buy it!"

I, disagree.

Why the hell should it be free? Do you have any idea what it takes to make a living? Do you hae any ideas what it takes to model the content? They aren't robbing their players, they are earning their wage. Or maybe you don't want a GT6, as it likely the money raised here will be budgeted towards that...It really ****es me off when people like you say DLC should be free, when it shouldn't. Don't like it, simple, DON'T BUY IT.

Realistically, I wonder how much of the DLC revenue does get to PD.

+1
PD can charge whatever they want, the user is the one who decide... I dont care, i enjoy this game with or without DLC. But i want those VW :sly:

People asked for DLCs , so there you have it. Now some of you complain that they're not free? Most developers would do few small patches in first 2 or 3 months and just leave the game as is, doesn't matter if it would need more fixes or not. PD is still supporting game after 14 months after release. Yes, 14. Don't like DLC, don't buy it. I'll buy it to support PD's work. And i'll enjoy my new GT-R :D

go away troll. its $3.95 like a cup of coffee. if you want to complain, complain about things like the skyrim collectors edition which for a toy dragon - non payable, some books costs the same price of a console.

also for people who choose not to purchase thing as a protest as they wanted something better well...if you dont purchase it, i dont anything will come given poor DLC sales.

I am happy to sacrifice some coffee and loose change for this DLC. its not liek its $39.95...

"It may suck, but if you buy it anyway PD may get the picture and make it better."

Not the most comforting of logic, even if it was infallible.

I don't have the dlc(yet), but are you aware how companies even make money in the first place? You say you don't like being charged for things that should be free, then you go on to say that they should put it in GT6.

So what you're saying is that you don't want to pay for it and that it can wait until GT6. What PD have done is released optional content that people can choose to pay for or choose to go without.

The choice is yours. And FYI, you can still race at spa online for free. Not many devs let players do that.

👍

Sony decides the cost I am sure. FT-86 and update is good but charging for 4 cars is cheap :ouch: If we keep feeding them they will become more greedy  Of course DLC are optional and they can say nothing is free in life but they need to show some class

You are just sour because you want everything you think you need be included to the next installment. If you do update the game, then you are just being a hypocrite.

I think it is already classy when they keep updating the games.

Explain how that makes sense, considering you'd still have to purchase the DLC separately...

I honestly cannot think of another game where we already have been given so much free content and updates which we will continue to recieve. You are entitled to your own opinion but most would not agree.

Yeah right. You people want PD to release cars per 0.01 each. Following the maths that we got a game with 1000+ cars for 60 bucks. Next gen market sucks, it won't gonna happen. I don't care to pay $1 per car. But thats MY HUMBLE OPINION. Being involved with some 3d modelling and graphical work I know how much/long it takes.

Well, anyway... this thread will be probably closed... so, good luck.

You mean charging $6.90 for 10 [new] cars a month?

They already made 2 DLC. So bascially 14$ for 20 cars for a game that came 2 months ago. Those DLC should be on disk instead they are intentionally selling it seperately, to trick some people

That is the best part I agree :) But charging for new DLC is not good

Neo,
You say you love PD. You say you are a loyal fan. You say love, love, love. You have 112 posts here on GTP, 50% bash PD and GT5. Why didn't they do this, they could have done that, blah blah blah.

Please stop. If your that unhappy go away and let the satisfied refrain from reading new thread headlines with complaints.

Everyone is money hungry nowadays - and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. PD isn't that bad, at least they aren't so bad as Infinity Ward, yet...

Paid DLC and microtransactions (and in other games the free-to-play model) are here to stay as revenue streams for all game developers.

In short, get used to it, because it is here to stay for a large percentage of developers.

I can't fault PD at all. Blame basic economics, if that makes you feel like you have the moral high ground.

Unfortunately, its been working like that:

We demand stuff
PD listen, and release DLC
Then some guys go like: OMG, its expensive, OMG, you havent made my mom's 82 Volvo, OMG PD you greedy. And start creating threads, that make GTP a worse place because its always the same whining and complaining.

Then, repeat steps above.

I have criticism and a lot of stuff I would want to see changed on GT5, but if I start to exteriorize all my insatisfaction, together with all of us, this will become a complaining forum, not a gaming forum.

Just my 2 cents.

Or, you know, the DLC is planned ahead of time and wouldn't be completed by the time the discs are printed.

Of course, you probably knew that. I'll also presume you knew you paid to unlock two (three?) cars that were already available in the game for free (in Arcade Mode) for use within the entire game.

LOL
If they make a DLC a month after the game come out that DLC should already be in the game. Thats money hungry.
I think thats what he was getting at... selling content that couldve been in the final game.

You mean like the Scirocco, which was in development before the game was released and was apparently just held back until now?

Read above, and also, paints cost $1.99; are you sure you want to use that "money grabbing/money hungry" argument?

Held back or not finished ?

^^ 100 exclusive paints for 2 dollars isnt money hungry to me.
Would I pay for it ? hell no but I can see people buying it And actually wanting it...
