Raise or drop the price depending on the car. Say $1.50 for the Lambo, Aston and Jag. 50 cents for the VW, Nissan and Mini.

That's a smart idea to charge more for some...Now maybe I shouldn't give this idea out to PD, but $2 for Lambo & Aston, $1 for Beetle, $1 for Jag, $0.50 for Leaf and Mini, and you will seriously have people debating whether they should just pick up the Lambo & Aston for $4 bucks or get everything at a cheaper price.

I think that if PD sells individual cars separately, they need to price the bundle cheaper than if buying all the parts separately like the 1st DLC. I would absolutely liked it if PD sold the cars and track for $9 or something instead of the separate $10 just as a little discount for buying both.

I was curious how purchasing the Speed Track added a section right under Special Events. So that means it was already planned from the get go. The track is fantastic, just curious if any other "spaces" on the GT Life screen can be filled. Maybe it could've been free.

I think the menu layout was drafted out to include all the features GT5 would have even if the features aren't ready. I'm sure the Speed Testing was thought of during the Planning phase, but PD just never got around to getting it ready for launch. If it was ready this whole time, I think they would've launched DLCs much earlier.

I think the price for DLC will also pay for maintaining the online servers.

Of course it seems a little expensive when you get 1 car for roughly 1 €/$/etc., but as many have said, you can enjoy the game without it.

I would wish there was something like a subscription for all future DLC though. For those loyal 'collectors' who want all the cars and tracks, there should be a limit as to what they will have to spend. Over the course of a year, those that buy all DLC will practically have spent the price of another full game on it, and that could go on for another 2 years or more.

Seems a bit much asking aussies to hand over 17 dollars for the track and cars never understood why its more expensive here

Because we have a superior economy. Just about everything here is more expensive.

1st paragraph: Shhhhhh. PD will raise the prices for money!!! :p

2nd Paragraph. Yeah of course. Say $1.70 for Lambo/Aston/Jag and 70 cents off Leaf, Mini, VW. Which will take it up to &7.20 for them all separate and $6.00 for full pack? Or 1.60 and 60 cents ($6.60 for all separate and $5.00 bundle).

Ok granted but I dont think you charged as much for dlc from forza.

Now before anyone jumps in with your wrong posts I might very well be thats why I said I dont think it is

Each time PD comes with a new DLC I say the same, but its just that they do the same:

1$ is no = to 1€...Currency for good shake...

1€ is about $2 here in NZ. We still have to pay a lot too. :( Because it seems our prices are based off Euros.

Its not only in this. I do sales for a company here in the us and everything costs proportionaly more in Aus. Anything that is made outside of aus. Do you guys have an insane import tax rate?

Do we have an insane import tax rate  No just the taxation of the inept labor governments that have been running the states since the early 90's and Federal government since 2007.

Pretty much double the price of most things sold. Want a new Ferrari 458. 180 thousands pounds 'around 260 thousand aud'. Try 500,000 aud. Those Corvette ZR1's? 300k and our dollars is stronger... 'includes conversion'.
Those pontiac g8's that were rebadged commodores? 30k for the v8 in the US? 50k in Australia and we make the flipping things and that was when the AU dollar was weaker than the US!

But this is taking the piss big time. Gaming shops in Australia wonder why more gamers are buying direct from europe. It may take longer, but I'm sure as hell willing to wait 2 weeks to save $50 for a new release game. Sick and tired of being taken to the cleaners.

The only company I can think of that has ever put prices inline with exchange rates is Apple. It's not hard to do what pay pal does, but for people like Sony, it's too much effort.

How is this still an argument. Guys... it's this simple.

You think the price is justifiable, (sp?) you buy it.
You don't think it's worth it, you don't buy it.

I know the whole "don't use logic on the internet" thing.. but still. :dunce:
No you're doing a pretty good job at the whole not using logic.

I'm not happy at being charged double the price of you, for the same product. It's absolute horse poo. The Australian dollar is valued at just over 1.068 USD. Why am I paying $17 for a product that you're purchasing for $7? Sony are taking nearly 150% more profit from me than yourself.

And you know what, the vast majority on here would do their nut if PD were to give Aussies a bonus car, yet completely negate the fact that we've almost paid double for everything to do with this game than any other country. My special edition cost me $120 aud which was around 118 usd at the time. Double the shelf price of the US version.

What is your "special edition"? The Collector's Edition was $100 USD when it went on sale.

I honestly don't have a prob with the prices,, however i would like some actual diversity in the DLC to justify my 3.99to12.99 or whatever price i am gonna pay. A car from each manufacturer or region I/E America Japan and Europe. maybe 1 american street car one european touring sedan and Japanese car be it racin drifting or street. and plz dont take all the code programming time u have and from what i heard it aint' much to rebrand standards to premium just sitdown at a conference table and grab some car mags from all the major brands and pick your faves of the three major regions and youll have a nice group of diverse and popular most sought after rides be they autocross muscle touring or grocery getter turned sleeper racer. Of course u will only choose those cars from the brands u sponsor in the game, so how hard could it be. and scout those auto museums for some more naudstalgia classics. I mean speaking from a muscle car point of view how come no Generation 1 Ford thunderbird or even a chevy 427 Impala? they were good cars in that era too.

Well yes our collectors edition, but we got the apex book, the game and some photo cards and the chrome lines. We didn't get a keyring or the Nissan car. And it was $130 sorry.

Our Signature edition was $300 aud

We weren't even offered the Signature Edition in the US.

What is the sales tax in Australia? There is no federal sales tax (or VAT, GST, etc) in the US, each state can impose sales taxes, but only on companies based in that state, so we don't pay any sales tax on our PSN purchases (at least not here in California). I don't think Sony is trying to screw you, I think its just the cost of doing business in Australia.
