DLC Problem - Help needed!

Right well I got my PSN token this morning and it wouldn't let me enter it into my own account, so used my cousin's (on the same PS3) and bought the DLC through his account, only now I can't seem to access it on my account? Anyone help on this?
 
Hayley, the DLC is locked to the account it is purchased on. If you have multiple PSN accounts on any PS3 it is irrelevant, you must purchase the DLC for each account to use them on each GT5 account.
 
That might be an issue. You might need to create a new account that is for the UK. I don't understand the logic behind it either. I'm guessing the other way is to download it somehow through the NZ PSN store.
 
Yeah but I can't add funds to the NZ store because I can only access UK codes and bank cards... This is rip, everything else I've downloaded is available accross accounts, I'm not about to start up again from scratch when I have played on my account since release date on this one...

I know, this is really not the most intuitive way to create DLC. Probably its their first try at it so being that it had to have problems. They were able to do the trading to one account being locked. I fear though that this may be a PSN limitation and not a PD issue.

It's their first go at DLC yes... but they've had nearly 4 years of seeing how everyone else does it. :ouch:

However, Sony are the ones to blame. They run the PSN store, and Polyphony is a company owned by Sony.... this whole thing should have been done a hell of a lot better.
 
Looks like I'll be trading my PS3 in then, can't be bothered making a new account, I've been on the edge of getting rid for a while and this just seals the deal.

you can read this in the little window on the right at the gt start screen it spams "news"... own fault ;)

Right and everytime you buy DLC you load the game first to see if there's any one-off special requirements/restrictions. I've just spent 30mins on the phone with Sony and they agree that the whole thing is confusing and the fact that there is no warning within the PS Store is a bad oversight. I have the Collectors Edition and can use all the Stealth models with both my main account and sub accounts so why not the same with additional DLC. This is an EPIC FAIL I'm afraid as Sony and PD are one and the same. I'll hopefully be getting a call back soon from the PSNetwork Team and will let you know what happens.

sorry but if you boot gt5 at the start screen this "news" thing spams a important info and you ignore it and fail then its your own fault...

i checkt the info and got no problems, but if people just buy and dont ask/read well^^

also we got now 5 threads with the same thing, because people dont read thats fact.

@friedi: where the news there from the start? And if, when you buy the DLC before loading up the game, you won't see it. I think there's also zero warning in the PSN store. And the info about it on the homepage was also posted later.



Not his fault, really. It's a "fake DLC". :sly:

But we need some testers to proof the fault. So thanks to all, I won't purchase it. :D

You sould have read the discription before buying it then you would know , so its your own fault
