The single player game is soul destroyingly boring and fair play to those who have the time, tenacity and patience to have soldiered on with that and now have endless credits and all the cars they want. Sadly I simply do not have the time for that, but I still paid my £40 for this game yet it's languishing around not being played and enjoyed because the game demands a ridiculous amount of my time which I simply do not have.

...is not what I had envisioned for this game.

I´ve been without a job since November last year. I´ve had all the time in this world to play the game, and I´m still in the way to reach level 30 in A-Spec, and I´m currently on level 10 B-Spec. Plus, the most Cr. I got was like 5,000,000. So its not a matter of time. Its the terrible reward/progression system, plus the nonsense events what really make the game difficult to enjoy. Still, I play the game. I don´t care about leveling up anymore, or grinding for credits. I just take any of my current cars, and go for a ride in Nurburgring or La Sarthe 2005 (no chicanes). Last time I did a race was like a week ago...

1 would pay $1 for 20million cr in a heart beat, i had 20 mill then bought a p4, really can't be bothered to grind for another 20 mill.

This is really no different than paying for DLC, except instead of buying specific cars, you'd be paying for the right to buy whatever X number of credits can get you.

In Forza3, when you buy DLC, it gives you the right to buy the car in the game, but you still have to earn the cash in-game to buy the cars you've downloaded.

I think it would be interesting, but I don't like the precedent. Why?

Because this gives the game developers a financial incentive to create next-to-impossible challenges, so frustrated gamers will just choose to pay for the rewards when they fail the challenges.

Good point. I can also just imagine the choice of grinding Indy for the new Sony revised amount of $5k or paying real money for in game money out of frustration. It's almost like the days I used to spend in the arcades shovelling more money in, when deveolopers first discovered the 'continue?' option. Of course you'll continue!!

it's a PlayStation game not a Facebook game.
👎

Fixed that for you, for the truth. 💡

Here's my revised price list;
5.00 USD = 500,000
10.00 USD = 1,000,000
20.00 USD = 2,000,000

Basically, 1.00 USD = 100,000 GT5 Credits.

This Could get you that long awaited P4, or that Ferrari F2007
While Giving PD a reasonable profit AND satisfying time-limited players:tup:
It's the ultimate solution!!!
*Of course, You still need to be the proper level to purchase cars like the P4...

Again, fixed that for you to make it fair. :)

No, sorry. With Bspec Remote Racing and the Bonus Seasonal Events, it's becoming easier and easier to earn millions of credits with minimal effort. Nobody has ever looked favorably at games that reward players for throwing more money at the developer, and for good reason.

Ramdom idea, build a time machine go back and tell PD that the game economy is flawled.

1 cr = $ 1

Thats like taking 1USD dividing it by 100, and getting less than that back!
basically;

100,000 CR = $100,000!👎
Can YOU pay even $100 before realizing that your dollar is'nt even worth pennies in GT5?

If I could build a time machine I would have stock in a number of near-monopoly companies, have won a variety of lotteries, be the head of an oil producing arab state and be racing my own exotic cars on my own private racetrack on my own private island.

Your aspirations need alteration! :)

I can totally see paying for DLC - whether it's new premium cars, new/additional tracks, new PhotoMode locations, exclusive driver uniforms, and so on...

Pay for in-game credits to spend, even if it's 20,000,000 Credits for as little as $5?

🤬 NO!

Yeah, it takes a long time to earn credits by playing the game, but doing that would turn GT5 into some sort of Facebook game like FarmVille where you can pay real money to shop in the game.

When I first signed-up for Facebook I got sucked into those kind of games, and it was just ridiculous. Eventually, I totally stopped playing all games on Facebook. If GT5 gets turned into that sort of game, I'd regretfully stop playing it as well...

Just my $0.02 on the topic.

Peace...

As hard as they make it to earn anything in the game... such as multiple cars costing $20,000,000 and only being able to make like $800,000 - $1,000,000 an hour. I doubt they'll make an easy shortcut like that. They made it sound like they were doing us a huge favor by giving us a little more money for races for like a month. But that was still not enough... Tsukuba 9 hour B-spec = $180,000? Frikin crazy.
