I have been played GT5 since release but have not yet purchased any DLC. Considering buying one or more track packs. The SPA pack looks especially interesting. Is there a dedicated thread for track pack reviews?

Thanks 👍

The dlc cars are simply amazing I have gotten the track but everything else you will love them. And have you tried searching google

Motegi's not the greatest but I would definitely buy route X and Spa!!

I'd say that Spa and Motegi are the only ones that are worth the investment as they are proper race circuits. However, if you like to blast your way around a huge oval, then Special Stage Route X may be worth your money but otherwise not so much.

Spa is one of the most historic tracks in the world and it looks beautiful in GT5. Unfortunately there is no day/night cycle but it does have weather changeability. Generally, you can't go wrong with Spa if you like circuit driving. You also get the fictional Kart Space track with Spa and it's decent fun and quite atmospheric.

Motegi may not be the most appealing track but it's great seen from a perspective of driving technique, lots of unforgiving tight corners and a perfect lap feels so rewarding. In addition to that it comes with an oval and three variations. The background scenery is sadly not modeled as thoroughly as Spa but it looks decent enough.

You would say that

It is certainly great. A very exciting track in fast cars - both difficult and rewarding to master. If you only get one, go for Spa without a doubt. The Kart Space tracks are good fun too.

If you can still get the bundle, even better - the Touring Cars are all really good, plus the paints and other stuff.

Route X is a difficult one - if money is not a problem just go for it. I've never used the timing stuff myself or done a full timed lap. It is however excellent for taking photos, if that's your thing, as there are lots of interesting locations and you can change time.

Motegi - I find it a bit annoying but it is of course a real world track and there are the variations. As Nielsen said, good for honing certain techniques.

I was surprized to find that SPA is actually available to everyone for free via the Dream Car seasonal event. Had forgotten about that ...
