I have to ask, I'm not trying to flame yea here, but why the love for the DMC?

They should offer a "Back 2 the Future" body kit as a modification.

Easy for the people who know a little about the background story of DMC and how it came about. Delorean was working for GM in the 50/60's and was in charge of a design project for Pontiacs version of the Corvette. The car was called the Banshee, sadly it never made production. Even though it did out perform the Corvette. Not sure how it came about but I do recall Delorean gave GM the finger, and created DMC in the 70's. DMC was rather short lived due to Delorean being framed for drugs and other naughty things, which although he won the case against him, and cleared his name the legal costs bankrupted DMC.
alot like what happened to Tucker in the 1940's. :scared:

Let's not forget - or downplay, for that matter - that the DeLorean was a big heavy hunk of stainless steel crap with a severely underpowered engine and numerous reliability problems.

...Which speaking about the Fiero I was dissapointed not to see it but its probably not there cause there are none in Japan. Boy are they missing out.

No they are not....remember the '86 MR2 SC? It got the same exact amount of power (144 hp) and the Fiero happened to be based off of it. This was in the 1980's agreement between Toyota and GM...

That aside, the Delorean is awesome! I have two, one bone stock and one with parts that cannot be removed. The BS-style spoiler actually works with the looks of the vehicles, and it adds to the handling splendor of the vehicle. In the game, they hit about 150 before they run out of steam...dunno 'bout real life. Wonderful car; one just passed me on the road about 3 days back. :D

the fiero was loosely based on the mr2. both were inspired by the lotus europa and fiat/bertone x-19 (started the idea of puttin inexpensive FF drivetrain to mid). the mr2 went into development first and the fiero was released first. fiero released in '84 mr2 in '85. the performance models, fiero gt in '85 and mr2 SC in '86. gm partly owned lotus at the time and lotus had close ties with toyota, as it does today ( toyota engine in the elise). i always thought the 90's mr2 looked like it was based on the fiero gt. i liked the 80's mr2 more than the 90's. i dont know why. i hate the new mr2. just a little more info to add to the fire.

anyways back to topic. i always liked the delorean when i was a kid. i guess because it was in back to the future and i thought the gullwing doors were cool.

Yeah, that would have been a nice touch: Showing the gull-wings in their full glory. PD got it half-right with the 300SL, but they put it on a Nissan Sera instead. (A station wagon that shows it and the DMC12 doesn't, WTH?) :irked: Damn biased...🤬

I joined this forums so that I could get the answer to one question...

Can the doors open in the game? Reply mode? Photo mode?

I bought this game only because I finished GT1 and 2, refused to play 3 (because no one would see me for a month or two) and bought 4 only because I heard there was a DeLorean in it...

damn I love that car...

Found a use for the Delorean. A good one.

Pulled together 200p for me at Laguna and El Cap in the Hot Rod Comp beating out a Viper GTS and Shelby Series 1 in the process. El Cap was a joke (as usual) but Laguna was damn tough.

Excellent car! Try it out...

I think they made the DeLorean much better in the game then they did in real life. I've be in those things and to even make it past 70 is a chore. In the game the thing drives like a champ. Oh well I shouldn't complain about them making a car better.

You DO know DMC released the S2 update kit in 2004 right?

It brings up power ALOT, and it updates alot of the electronics in the car.

But, until you get a delorean with a 20b all carb 3 rotar, you're just kidding yourself. :sly:

You win it after you complete Driving Missions 1-10. Good luck on #10, it's next to impossible.
Are you sure?
I thought Mission Races got near impossible starting at Race #11 with the 2000GT?
