Just to test you lot and see if you really know every car made by man. Any of you know what this car is? BTW if any of you have any cars that you think no one knows about, post them and test us...:)

It looks like an NSX with a body kit.

It does look like an NSX, but it feels Mitsubishi-like to me... I dont know.. maybe just a weird feeling.

Well I'm afraid to say you're wrong so far...
I'll give you hint. A certain tuning company got hold of a car (like that wasn't too obvious that it's a car) and originally added a body kit. Then they did their own version of it and became what's above. If that helps what so ever. Also the picture is a bit decieving, because the car's actually quite stumpy and short. And it is a Japanese manufacutrer. That's all for now.:)

No wait, I have a guess. It's a modified NSX.

MazKid - MX-03? ....

Though it does have likeness to the Toyota MR2 Mk II.

If it's a Japanese tuner company that made one car that they built from the idea of the NSX ... no one here is going to have any idea what it is. And even at that, it's still a modified NSX.

Loud the MX-03 was a concept car back in '87. It didn't become anything...there was also a MX-04, which also didn't become anything.

So I thought it could possibly be that, but I was wrong.

Well I have to say Loudmusic you surprised me wih your guess as I'm going to let you have the teddy bear for the closeest guess. Not with your NSX theory but with you Toyota MR2 Mk.II guess.

BTW- I don't know if Sard are a tuning company, but that's what I thought they were - a tuning company for Toyota.

What it is is a Sard MC 8. Sard got an MR2 Mk. II orignally and gave it a few of their own body kits. They then did quite a few mod later on, on it, until it was recognised as their own car I think. They then decided to enter it into the LeMans 24 hours in 1994, 95 and 96. At first it did quite well, but never really finished the race until they got the reliability sorted for 1996, but by that stage it was just plain uncompetitive and finsihed 24 out of 25 cars at the end of the 24 hours. Pretty nice car I though as well.

Here's a picture of the car in action in 1996 at Le Mans.

Well if you thought it was that stupid you why did you post???
And it isn't some stupid sports car that's comon as muck, it's virtually non existant and I wanted to see if anyone had seen it before. And there aren't millios of those, it was really a one off production.
To be quite honest I don't particularly care what you think, but there were some people who obviously wanted to have a guess and go.

Hey Bill, it may be just some sports car, but guess what: that's what these forums are about, CARS.

who knows what this is? it is a concept car and designed by a tuning company.... also has engine from a Ferrari 550 Maranello.

Neither did vat_man (unless he did, his response was a bit too perfect - maybe he's been playing us for years).

I didn't know that could be done, even - I though attachments were 'safe' from one finding out what they're called.

That's a Bamby. Built by Alan Evans around 1983, it had a 50cc Yamaha engine.

Actually the reason I remember the car was I had a big argument with a mate of mine over it - I'm off the opinion that Pininfarina got hold of a Caterham 7, put a couple of panels on it, painted it red and flogged it off as a concept car. My friend disagreed.

I didn't know that either - I don't think I've seen an attachment here I particularly wanted to detach and save.
