Do I really have to wait for 220 minutes for GT6 install?

Sorry for a dumb question

I finished updating but now out the starting screen it is now installing and it is apparently going to take 220 minutes, is this true or is it another time mishap?

Took me 15-20 mins. Said 60 at first. But there is a 2nd update too, which took <5.

It doesn't take that long really, that happened with me once before, but it takes less than 30 mins.

Yeah, I had the same problem. The expected time went beyond 600 minutes, then the download failed (it also failed a few more times before and afterwards until it finally worked). I just hooked a ethernet cable up to my PS3 and reset my modem and it went better, still slow but that's more down to issues on my end.

My PS3 doesn't do ethernet. It now says 2 minutes. but the bar isn't moving (it said 2 minutes, 10 minutes ago).

I find this in-game updating very fustrating.

I should just try again another day but I don't know how to safely cancel it and turn my PS3 off? I feel like I'm stuck in limbo.

It depends on your internet speed, set-up, provider and so on. I have Verizon DSL WiFi and it took me about an hour to download and about thirty minutes to install, damn near two hours. When I had Xfinity Blast thru Comcast I was wired and this would have taken me probably ten to fifteen minutes total.

it took me arround 15m to me. Maybe your internet connection isn't fast enough.
