Do I really need chasis maintenance?

Never used rebuilt chassis or engine a single time. Just seems like a pure waste of money. Guess if i will need to rebuild i will notice serious lack of engine power or really bad handling but until now i didn't so i leave it alone.

I may be wrong but doesn't it state 'Restore chasis rigidity' rather than repair chasis, stripping a car down and rebuilding the chasis to original specs will cost a fortune on any car wether its been damaged or not. The only one that seems important to me is the engine rebuild, but even then if you change oil after every couple of races then you dont even need to do that.

Okay, so my 908 HDi FAP has 1900 mi on it, did a refresh (chassis/engine) and it handles the same. HP changed by 4 after the engine rebuild and it is also 1/2 of the car's worth- or at least it's capped at 500k.

I don't see any reason to do either until the mileage is enormous.
