Do PD pay manufacturers to license their cars?

Does anyone know if the alleged 'EA Porsche license' has an expiration date, or did some buffoon at Porsche give EA an eternal monopoly over their vehicles?

Porsche want to be in GT, it's only because of the exclusive license sale years ago to EA (and EA seemingly won't sublicense to PD) they can't.

EA being megalomaniacs? What a surprise.

Either way it shouldn't be that confusing. Forza has Porches, GT should be able to get them too. I know Microsoft is loaded with cash but I don't get the impression that Sony is hurting for money either so...

Personally, I don't mind because I can't stand Porches :yuck:

Sony and the Playstation division barely got into the black in the last couple years. They were bleeding hard since before PS3 launch and eating it for the few couple years of PS3.

I really just went the latest 997's, GT2, GT3, and the Carrera GT from Porsche, as well as the Cayman S and Cayman R. RuF is good enough for the rest, though I'd like to see the RT12 and CTR3. The Ring just isn't the same...

I know the main point here is the Porsche. But does anyone know if Koenigsegg and Gumpert wanted to be or at least PD wanted it to be in the game?

I know sounds like a clichê today those cars being in almost all racing games, but we can't just turn our backs without recognize how awesome those little brands are in automobilism.

I mean, everybody knows Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, yeah, they are great cars, far beyong ordinary cars that most of us have. But those are superior ones, I mean, looking to the performance, they make that other brands and models looks like child toys.

Particulary I'm a fan of Koenigsegg and would love to see CCX and CCXR in the game...

Sorry for my english.
