Do red rims look good?

I recently co-founded a drift team with a friend and he thinks that the team colours should be Matte Black with Red rims. I personally HATE the Red rims and think that the Matte Black is not interesting enough. I was thinking of implementing the "Blu Hera" paint item, obtained from the Aventador, in the team colours. What do you think? Please tell me your opinion on the Red rims and perhaps suggest some good colours for the car bodies. Thank you!
 
Matte black is ugly! I don't see a big problem with red rims though (as long as it suits the body paint).

Btw, pic maybe? I don't know how blu-hera looks like, it's the only dlc I don't have.
 
The only thing, IMO, that red wheels would go with, are:

• Any shade of black, and
• White

Any other body colour just makes the car look juvenile.
 
Dark brown with yellow rims

Light blue with white rims

Very dark Green with silver chrome rims

Purple with gold chrome rims

Very dark red with black rims

Pink with white rims

Very dark glossy black with silver chrome rims

Never use grey

Strong Cyan with light blue rims

Not to be rude, but the "black/matte black with red wheels" thing is way too common. Experiment with different colors, just don't get into a huge controversy if your team's colors are similar to another one.

That's one gorgeous Porsche. :drool:

An excellent example of my point - it suits those red wheels so well.
Whereas, other colours like green, yellow and blue all look, IMO, childish and silly - if they're equipped with wheels that are of the fore-mentioned colours.

red rims can look good with a orange body, sounds wired i know but on the right car it looks good
 
No!

Red rims on the 911 look good because of the red on the body, if that want there it wouldn't look as good.

I've just changed all my rims to white, rims should be, white/black/stock or chrome silver!!
 
I think red rims can look OK with white, gloss/pearl black (not so much matte), pale blue, maybe even red body. It all depends on the car and the types of wheel I'd say - those wheels where only part is painted are probably better.
 
Try Black with green/orange rims.
I have a black Maserati with stock orange rims (or something close to that) and it looks outstanding.
I also have Black w/ yellow, :lol:

Yes & No. What one person deems ruinously ugly, another might decide, "Yes! That's the paint combo I've been searching for" and paint a slew of their cars in the same fashion. Different strokes for different folks.

If we ever get a livery editor, I think it would be cool for drift/race teams to adopt their nation's racing colors.

That's my exact outlook on rims, this thread was simply to ensure that my friend never paints rims red again. xD

Thank you to everyone who answered, this was my first thread that I created and the amount and speed of replies was brilliant, thank you all for being an amazing community! We will stay away from that combination of colours, as we have agreed that it looks horrendous and, well, there's already a team sporting that combination. Thanks again for the replies!

Why were you being sarcastic towards me?

I was simply telling another user that I didn't think the picture was from GT4 as Porsche has never really been in GT officially.

Does that really call for sarcasm? Can I not even be helpful without being hated on?
 
For me there are only a few applications red rims go well with, like on the matte black Furai, due to the Furai's red accents and taillights.
 
I have cars with Flat black and red rims... Not too stunning! Better is tangerine and green best looking car I have!
