try using a fully modded C-west Razo Silvia (511hp) and race the amature JGTC championship on apricot hill. u wont win even bye a second

1. Famine; C-West Razo Silvia JGTC (497hp); 6'42.000
2. AI; Denso Sard Supra; +5.166
3. AI; Pennzoil Nismo GT-R; +9.170
4. AI; Loctite Zexel GT-R; +10.373
5. AI; Raybrig NSX; +14.166
6. AI; ARTA NSX; +18.280

Fun drive though (and replay on request).

I did that with the C-West Razo because I wanted "competition" as you say... but I had no problems beating the other cars :p Was not really competiton.. I was able to keep up with the faster cars and even pass them. Then they pitted, and I just went on to kick their asses. The best competition I think is SSR11 in the Vitz Cup in professional.. without riding the walls of course.

I agree with you on the Vitz Cup in professional on SSR11. That is a tough race to beat, even if you are driving properly through the corners. I think that is the hardest race in the game.

Well its actually backwards in the Vitz cup so its SSR11 II, so yea, riding the wall in the first LEFT turn helps alot, and also around the two consecutive hairpins. Now Im saying this out of memory because I remember seeing my replay from awhile ago. I let my brother do the first 5 laps.... He was some 30 seconds behind first place.. I took over and had no choice but to ride the walls to regain the time he lost. And on the 10th lap, I was almost right behind the first place car, and he screwed up the last curve a bit and was able to pass him on the straight, barely before the finish line. THAT WAS COMPETITION :D

If I find a way to put up the replay I will. Nothing fun about seeing Vitz cars racing, but coming back from 30 seconds deficit in 5 laps was crazy!! I admit I got lucky cuz the AI screwed up in the last curve.

If you want competition for 1st place,... take your Vertigo to Formula Championship @ Mid-Field,... I can garuntee most drivers wont make it out on top.... but it is possible....

Brian - if you look in the "What competes with the GT1" thread, you see I recount the GT9Boards round 10 race... Modified Integra-R at Seattle vs AI TS020, 787B, R390 LM... That was possible but not many people made it - generally 3rd was position of the day :D

Just can't resist these quick Challenges!!!
:D I know Famine is quicker than me, so I qualified (which he PROBABLY didn't bother with) tweaked a RAZO I had left over from an OLR a little & yielded:

1.UB57; C-West Razo Silvia JGTC (497hp); 6'36.732
2. AI; Denso Sard Supra; +5.8xx
3. AI; Pennzoil Nismo GT-R; +9.8xx
4. AI; Castrol; +10.1xx
5. AI; Loctite Zexel GT-R; +11.7xx
6. AI; ARTA NSX; +16.3xx

Fun drive though (and NTSC replay on request)...UB57
:D

I'll get you, Penelope Pitstop!

Nicely done though. And he's right... We didn't win by a second... :D

It proves the whole thing about player-affected AI performance though... Up the pace by a second a lap, and the AI STILL finishes 5s behind...

I tried it and did good. My time was 6'46.744. Second place was over 3 seconds behind. I was ahead by over 5 seconds but I f-ed up on the last lap. The only part of the setting I altered was the gear ratios. I put the auto setting up to 29, instead of 28. It was a fun race.

Why?

Surely you should set the car up as best you can?

Hiya Famine:
:D Got bored w/the "Telly" last nite so tried this one again w/Stage 1 Turbo. WAAAAAAY more fun.

1. UB57; C-West Razo Silvia JGTC (409hp); 6'53.434
2. AI; Denso Sard Supra; +1.6xx
3. AI; Pennzoil Nismo GT-R; +5.4xx
4. AI; Loctite Zexel GT-R; +8.3xx
5. AI; Raybrig NSX; +10.8xx
6. AI; ARTA NSX; +15.1xx

Qualified 3rd & didn't get the lead until Lap #2. Never got more than 2 seconds ahead & the Supra was right on my bumper a coupla times. I think it can be won from 6th on the grid w/Stage 1, any takers???...UB57:D

I'm busy with GTL tonight, but I'll give it a bash if I get 7 minutes to spare :D

Yes, but take up a 30+ second deficit on SSR11 II after 5 laps and then try to win. Im not saying the Vitz Cup is hard, but that was the best competition I got since Ive been playing GT3. ( Since it came out )

THANX FireEmblem62: 👍 for suggesting this great run. Just tried it again w/Stage 1 Turbo WITHOUT Qualifying:

1. UB57; C-West Razo Silvia JGTC (409hp); 6'55.853
2. AI; Castrol Supra; +1.4xx
3. AI; Raybrig NSX; +5.8xx
4. AI; Loctite Zexel GT-R; +5.9xx
5. AI; Pennzoil Nismo GT-R; +6.4xx
6. AI; Castrol NSX; +8.3xx

Started 6th of course & didn't get the lead until Lap #3. Never got more than 2 seconds ahead & the Supra was right on my bumper a coupla times. Easy to make up time thru the 1st turn, the "Hairpin" & the "Chicane" but he closes fast on the straights!!!...UB57
