This is for the people of Canada.

I was wondering something. Since Jean Chretien is leaving, the PM slot will be open. Does this mean Paul Martin is automaticaly put into power or does he have to be voted in?

No

Liberal Leadership Convention....tonight I think?

Basically to go through the motions of a Constitutional Democracy in which we once lived in.
Later...we'll spend another billion to make it official against the other parties.

Yeah. It's on CBC right now.. hah! yeah..anyways.. Since Paul Martin's the official head of the party, he's going to be the PM..

After these past few days, I just realized that we do have alot of Canadians on these forums. I never knew that!

Paul Martin Sr. was a honourable man. Pray that those genes were passed on. He's certainly shown himself to be an effective Minister of Finance and made it in the real world as a top CEO. I'm happy.:)

But he had to give that to one of his kids if he wanted to be pm or somthing right:confused:

Wha? Paul Martin Sr. was his father. His father was a Liberal heavy weight and shaped the foundation of the Liberal Party as we know it. He just never made the play for the big chair. I'll bet he was one of the puppet masters though. Paul Martin Jr. is the one you see on TV...now, and who will be PM.

All i know is they had a shipping company or somthing i forget who ran it. Then had to give up control because of something the govermnet was saying i forget the details. Maybe you know what i'm talking about:lol:

Conflict of Intrest. Paul Martin Jr. ran a VERY big shipping industry and pieced it off to his family. The Formal Opposition feels that he's used his political influence to bolster his pre-politic company in which he still has ties(family).
