Do you care what they think?

hmmm, as a girl, i do see this problem for women because they tend to have an inferiority complex where they feel the need to have everyone they meet like them based on their looks or personality. However, i do see boys that act this way as well, and you shouldn't think that this is limited to females only. I'm sure many guys are insecure about themselves, that's why many people go on these kinds of forums in order to sound knowledgable about an area in front of complete strangers. It's really interesting to see that so many people get really caught up on their image on these sites when no one really knows who they really are, if its just a front or what not. SOOO, my point is, don't segregate your comments to just WOMEN, when in fact this is a problem most MEN suffer from.

well i only go out of my way to make friends if they are the big guys in school or someone who i would not like as an enemy. really i dont care too much what others think of me because people will only tease if they are jelous.

I believe that qualifies you as a brown noser.

Really? Why Klos? What don't you like about others?

Well, maybe I exaggerrated when I said 'most.' There are a few people I don't like. I still don't care or even want everyone to like me.

Okay, I can understand. Do you hate me?

P.S. Just curious.

It's important to me that I like myself. The rest of the world will divide itself neatly into the people who like me, and the people who do not. I won't change myself to make someone like me, unless the thing they dislike about me is something that I feel should be changed.

It's important to me to be professional in the workplace. This leads to some fairly serious character modification, usually in the form of withholding opinions.

But overall, I have a fairly well-developed sense of what is right and wrong, and as long as I act within the parameters that that sense produces, it doesn't bother me whether people like me or not.

I could not agree more with that.

Well I would agree as well, but how can you be happy with yourself when everyone else hates you.
By being true to your own self and your own morality. If you are truthful, just, fair, and reasonably repectful, then there's no reason in the world to care whther or not anybody else likes you. And if you are those things, then everbody won't hate you.

I don't care what other people think, that is why I don't hold anything back here. (Kinda the jerk of the site)

I think it is lame to try to impress a society which I do not care for.
