Do you follow a race Colour Scheme?

I do! My entire fleet (the ones that can be painted anyways) are all the dark red bordeaux-something-or-other that's found on the Maserati GT with black rims. Expensive paint job is expensive. :sly:👍

I'm a fan of Bayside blue metallic, but it's pointless on GT5 seeing as I'd need to buy an R34 Skyline GT-R in that colour for each 'other car' I want to change the colour scheme on.

Create a couple of extra accounts on your PS3 (I use my two kids accounts) and send a car back and forth on those accounts every day. That's 2 free paint chips every day...

No need to purchase a car every time.

I do have a color scheme for different makes, but not race cars. All my Skylines are some shade of purple with gold/bronze wheels, all my Ferraris are Rosso Scuderia with black wheels, my Lamborghinis are all painted Arancio Atlas, all Subarus are WR Blue Mica, and all my Hondas painted in Championship White.

I dunno man, that sounds like a lot of work :D

Let me check that:
Red Viper, Green Vette, Yellow Camaro, White LF-A, Black C63AMG

(Cars i drive mostly)

Nah doesnt look like i follow a scheme, but all my cars got Black Rims :D

I try & choose a blue to match my driver colour in the cars I use often but other than that I don't follow a scheme. My Z06 RM is metalic black with matte bright green wheels & my '69 Camaro RM is burgandy on white wheels. Both look HOTT

I usually pick something cool for a tester/ daily driver. Once i get a feel for the car and I'm ready to build it up I usually take delivery of a brand new one in white and strip it down. Once all the parts go on it and the tuning is close it gets a flat black treatment and becomes a monster. Helps me keep track of what state everything is in.

Only if I have two RM cars I want to be teammates (number 11 and number 12) in a car the road version has, for example, at Team TVR, they are #11 and #12, both in chameleon orange

Most of my cars are either blue or white.
White cars deserve black rims. (they don't always get them, as all optional rims are ugly and too small most of the time)
However, Ferrari's should be red at all times. Rosso Mugello, Rosso Monzo or just plain red.

Do you follow a race Colour Scheme?

If you do post here!

Yellow Body
Green/Silver Wheels

Not exactly. I just tend to go with my favorite color, which is blue. If we're racing together and you see a blue car on the grid, there's a good chance you're looking at my car.

In Forza Motorsport 2 and 3 I often had custom liveries for my cars and they were typically similar from car to car, although I periodically altered them as I went along.

Tweaking around making pretty liveries wasn't really my thing, so I didn't spend much time or effort on it, so they weren't nearly as nifty as what some other folks were creating, but they were still my own thing.

Here's an old FM2 one, after just starting to piddle with the livery editor:

(The white frosting along the bottom and the blob-like white splotches around the tires aren't anything related to car damage textures or track grime but are part of the livery, intended to look like snow along the bottom of the car.)

A bit of a gag NASCAR livery in FM3:

(I was trying to go for sponsors appealing to the proper demographic, you see.)

Pink all over!!! :D

, JK.

I don't actually use one, although I do tend to use the colour I bought the car with. Wheels I usually keep default but sometimes I will paint them.

I go with mostly orange. Also green, white and gold chrome on a select few. I also have some lovely pink cars which I like to use online and beat people with. :D

I want to paint all my cars the same, but I paint the car a color that feels right. My Honda s500 is dark blue, my Lamborghini Murch' is raspberry red pearl, my Lexus RM thingie is beige.

I can't find a color that suits all my cars.

👍 This!

OK, I only work to this level of detail as far as implementing a manufacturer-centric color scheme for my race-modded cars.

(Heck, I haven't even pulled all my race-modded cars out for a spin, so I've only painted the ones I've used so far...)

They're all numbered 1 through 17 - in the order I acquired them. (All other cars I have that can have the number changed have the number 88.)

My race-modded Lotuses are some shade of a light green (body and wheels).
My race-modded Camaros are in turquoise.
My race-modded Hondas (and Acura) are in red.
My race-modded Corvettes are also in a shade of light green - but I'm gonna change that after the oddly-missed concept that I'm already using light green for my Lotuses - I'll probably make them blue.

For the rest of the cars in my garage, it's really a "what looks best on the car" sort of thing for me.

The beauty of it all is that we have the opportunity to express a little creative individuality, so I hope everyone finds their way to do such and enjoy it!

Peace...
