Do you have to do Bspec to get to 100%

I have been stuck at 61% for a while. I got to that number before doing LeMans and I have also done a few other things since.

A Level: 37
B Level: 0
Percentage: 61%
Kms: 21,822
License tests:54 golds 6 silver 0 bronze.
Endurance: All but the Ring
Seasonals: None
Special: All but the ones where you have to buy tires.

I have only run each race enough times to win it once. I see many others with A Level 40 without running any of the big endurances. I don't mind that.

But HAVING TO DO B-SPEC to get to 100% would be a kick in the nuts...

Does anybody know what the deal is?

Platinum requires gold on all Special Events (including Vettels), and winning all races, weather in A-spec or B-spec.
Got mine after finishing Nurb 24h B-spec.

U need to gold everything for platinum

Actually the platinum trophy is all trophies in the game, not gold everything. One of the trophies however is to gold everything.

Yes, you don't have to for Platinum but for 100% you do.

I can think of at least two trophies that relate to B-Spec: A Star Is Born (train one of your drivers up to level 30) and The Air Of Experience (max out the career bar for one of your drivers). Seeing as you need all trophies to get platinum, you're going to need to do B-Spec too.

In regard to the original question, I'm not certain but I think to get 100% in-game you have to obtain a trophy in every event but not necessarily get gold.

Not everything though...
As I said you have to finish all races in A-spec or
B-spec, not both.

From the Playstation web site:

Gran Turismo Platinum Trophy
Earn every single Gran Turismo 5 trophy.

So this is not correct? One of the Grand Turismo trophies listed is the Gold Standard Trophy which requires:

Gold Standard
Get a gold trophy in every race event, license test and special event.

Doesn't the Gold Standard trophy need to be won to get the Platinum?
Does anyone really know what is required to get Platinum?

You need to gold every event, that's true.
But: every event is playable either in A-spec or in B-spec.
If you finish all B-spec events you will have a gold trophy for every race event.
I got my platinum trophy while I haven't finished the extreme series in A-spec yet.

That is what is really required for the platinum 👍
I mentioned this 3 times now... what is so difficult about it ;)

I hate doing b spec too I just put my drivers online get it up that way my lad.

This does absolutely nothing to help you win all the B-Spec career races, just as a heads up.

Here's what's so difficult about it:

I have golded all 60 license tests. I have golded all special events including the Vettel Challenge. I have golded all races in A-Spec except the Endurance series. I have golded all the Endurance series in B-spec. From what you are saying, I should have the Gold Standard trophy but it is not forthcoming.

What am I over looking?

That's weird...
I got the platinum with the same level of completion.
Maybe one of your races within a golded championship is silver instead of gold?

Nope. Got the Trophy this morning by completeing the B Spec Extreme series with all gold. I all ready had all golds in the A Spec Extreme so I was assuming that would get me there, but it didn't.

You have to have all gold in one series or the other! A combination of golds in both series will not get the gold standard.

i second that, i found it quite easy once you have the cars, seeing as you mention being 37 on a i would have thought you already have good enough to fly through b spec all you would probably need to buy is tyres, as for the b-spec endurance races the longer ones just do overnight if you are confident you can win them. the only races you really need to do any coaching on is the FGT champ and NASCAR champ which will need some tuning but again if you have them done on A-spec you should easily do them on B.

Ah, that explains :)
I golded all B-spec events first...
