After getting frustrated at GTAIV again recently, I bought and tried Midnight Club Los Angeles which, as most might know, is from Rockstar Games too and about as old as IV, and I gotta say, if the traffic in GTA V will be behaving as they do in MCLA I'm totally fine with it. Honking is still very common but they at least seem to notice there is somebody in front of them when they sit at a red traffic light. They don't overtake, usually I am the one overtaking them and then, at the next intersection, braking a little, little too late (when I'm cruising a bit "quicker", but still roughly obeying the law) and bumping them from behind. The good thing is, they don't get out and pull you out of your car like GTA's infamous taxi drivers, they honk, than they live on and drive away. I can get a quick repair at any gas station or I total my car (then it gets repaired automatically in free drive), pretty awesome, finally no more I-need-to-steal-a-new-car-and-evade-the-cops after destroying the previous one because of the horrible AI traffic. Also there is an actual speedometer and the speed limit is shown on your HUD all time, if you speed and crash cops chase you, but they don't shoot you down, the either pull you over or, if you decide to run, they start a pursuit, which you can either end in 3 minutes if you're not interested by flooring it on the highway or you have some fun and let them chase you through the city for 20 minutes, that's more fun than you might think, they are really clever at pit manoeuvring you and keep on your tail almost all time if you let them.

Long story short, I got MCLA Complete Edition for 20€ and I'm very satisfied with it, it's better for cruising and feels even more realistic than GTAIV (imagine an arcadey version of the GT5 handling with racing supersoft tyres).
Oh, did I mention it has a - pretty nice looking - cockpit view in all cars? And some nice sounding engines, at least on the upper class cars? I prefer it a lot over GTA for cruising in a free city now.

I'm off, cruising through Hollywood in my Gallardo...
Haha your comment was funny.

Well seeing that Rockstar San Deigo has been forced not to make anymore MC games for awhile and are currently helping North with GTAV then I expect those issues you stated to be resolved. Personally, I don't get why the taxi drivers care if you hit their taxi It's not even their's, they're risking their lives for a company car. I understand them being upset but if some psycopath with a gun is punching or kicking my car i'd just drive away not get out and fight.

Most of the time I do because it gives me a reason to kill taxi drivers at the traffic lights when they ram my car

Sometimes I cruised around for a bit.

I sometimes but I usually go fast and just stop at stop lights because going slow is boring sometimes.

Nope. Fast as possible, for I am impatient, and even run some people over while I'm at it sometimes.

Compared to San Andreas, I do obey it though. San Andreas its impossible to obey traffic laws. On the highways if you come up on a tractor there WILL be an accident because the AI drivers will pile into it.

For the most part, I do obey them. I.e.: I'll stop at traffic lights, do traffic speed, and flip taxis over if they piss me off. Yeah mon, is a real pain if dey crash inna de back of me, yannow?

So no, if I'm doing a handling test for my lowered performance cars then no, I'm not obeying the traffic laws until my test is complete.:)

Usually when I do I bump into a cop car and just speed off.

Most of the time I do. However, I often get really bad road rage... I mean, I know it's just a game, but I still get angry. If I accidently hit someone or they hit me and they get out, I get out too and aim my gun at them. If they run away, I get back in the car and set off, making sure I hit their open door with my car so it falls off. If they stay, I shoot them. Simple.

I also hate it when I'm driving on the highway or anywhere with two or more lanes going the same way. Nobody ever looks before changing lanes, so you either have to swerve into a pedestrian or a barrier, or just get hit in the side by them. I get very angry at the AI on GTA.

Yes and no in short. One thing I always make sure I don't do is shoot at Paramedics. At the end of the day they're neutrals.

So are civilians, but I still run them over.

I can never be bothered, I get bored and just go on a rampage shooting everything that moves, and seeing how long I can survive with the rozzers chasing me down.

I lied. I only adhere to the BS traffic rules when I'm bored... in GTA.;)

There are laws in Liberty City??
Never noticed

Bump!

GTA is all about may-ham and crazy driving. If you want to drive "safely" then do it in the real life (even though some idiots don't). GTA is about having fun and do all the stuff that you can't do in real life. If someone is pis*ing you off in the game...boom and he's gone :)

I drive wide open about 90% of the time, who cares if you wreck your car, just steal another one, unless it's a rare car then I'm more careful, but there's been times I've gone through 3 or more cars just trying to drive somewhere. One time I stole a lamborghini, pulled a u turn, hit the curb and rolled it onto it's roof, all in less than 10 seconds.

I obeyed the traffic laws for a little bit yesterday:) I got frustrated after the traffic kept rearending me and passing me on red lights and so many one way streets but it was fun for a little bit:p

I do it 25% of the time. Especially as a cop. Pretty much goes like This...
If I get rear ended, I call backup and turn on my siren. When the backup comes I push the side of the suspects car. They then get out angry, run by the backup and let the person punch you. If the cops see it they get out and arrest the suspect :) there you go! Cop on console 👍 Also cool to call the ambulance if there's a bad ai crash.

Sometimes I obey traffic laws, but I like when driving in GTA is make crashs and run over pedestrians.

99% of the time I do NOT obey the traffic in any sandbox game. Once in a while I do mess around and obey traffic. But that's very rare.

Sometimes, yeah. Just for a change.

It's annoying that AI cars don't react to your own car as a 'normal' car, such as at traffic lights.

I love doing this in IV. It's a great way to take in every detail of Liberty City.

Sometimes I do, but I don't obey the traffic law most of the time, because the AI in GTA always piss me off!
