2 Words, University Parking. BA BAM. They sure are stingy about giving parking permits (if you own more than one car) though!

yes, many places, not anymore tho, crashed :(

1988 Mazda Rx-7 Turbo 2 Stock (Crystal White)

i hit a cement barrier at like 20 mph, all it did was bend mi hood a lil bit, damage sum fender and facia, now i need to wait for the snow to melt so i can take it to the shop to get the frame pulled and put on mi new facia and fenders :)
need new suspention, stock rolling is scary
it was great while it lasted

o yea, if that cement barrier wasnt there i wuda went over a 25ft cliff into a parking lot behind a rec center.
i kno...
stupid...
TR learned his lesson.

Hey this is funny but up here its snowing so last nite i took my 4wheeler out and was drifting with it. It was great and i also brought out my dirtbike. i fell on the dirtbike. yea big mistake in the snow. my friend was riding the fourwheeler and tried to DRIFT like me but some how managed to get it on 2 wheels, like sideways and almost killed himself.

I used to, until I totaled it. But hey, this isnt quite the same wagon now is it?

PS I will never understand why people tune their cars above 450bhp..

Hahahah its so fun trying to slide in the mud....but the problem with mine is that if u turn to sharp...the front tires will scrap the wagon stoping the front tires and some times fliping it:odd:.....my friend learn not to do it the hard way... i pushed him and he turned to do a u turn....and it was all over....he fliped over 2 times or so and the tire was spining and it look so tragic
:ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch::ouch:
it was like one of them fast and the frerous....<--- cant spell

lol. dont ever try to drift an explorer. (especially without a liscense :D )

my mom let me drive around this HUGGEE abandoned parking lot (its gotta be more than 20 acres or something. its in front of this brokeass old department store/mall whatever. btw, it's concrete too. ill take pictures some time)

anyways. since it is abandoned...its really dusty and dirty and so i drove over to where it was really dirty and gravelly. then i spun the rear wheels while turning. (didnt actually whip out the back end. i would'a died lol) i guess it could count as a drift. really lame one but wtf....im 14. lol.

it was kinda scary though.....its a freakin explorer. hahaha.

ill be sure to go back there when i have the right machine. (just hope nothing develops....i could make it into some kind of gathering....or not...ppl who think they can drive are very scary here.

whatever.... peace. lol.

I wouldn't take a chance in my car. I get sideways every now and then, but unless I was in a huge parking lot, I wouldn't want to crash a car we just finished building

I drift all the time. I kinda have to. I live in NY up in the mountains and everyone drives their huge SUV's in the middle of the road. So I just started doing it on my own until I found out about the whole drifting movement and decided to perfect it. I do it pretty much everyday because the twisty back roads are always empty (too many corners at the side of a cliff that people are afraid of). And yes I do it in FF and FR's. ;)

i drift every once in a while, i guess when i get time, but never in the streets, not because im afraid of hurting someone...but because im afraid of hurting my car or gettin a citation for wreckless driving...although parking lots after rain is always fun...plenty of room for error, way less damage to tires, and no tires squealing to wake the neighbors...oh yea..drifting in school parking lots is a no no..its public property and you can get screwed if you get caught...anyhow..you guys should check out Driftday.com..Club4AG hosts plenty of sanctioned events where you can drift with no worries..aside from the beating your car takes from average drifting..anyhow this is my car...

I do at the track and mountain passes where there is not much traffic. By the way I drive an 240SX soon to be swapped with an SR20DET

"Yet" being the key word here.

As thoughtless as it sounds that is pretty much the whole appeal to drifting in public. The sense of spontaneousness and having the chance for events to occur at any moment that are totally out of your control. Keeps you on your toes.

Also with street drifting it doesn't endanger people as bad as you think because it is hard for a pedestrian that is uninvolved to wander in the path of a car unless they are oblivious to the crowds and all the rest of the commotion that is involved with any other form of illegal racing.

*sigh* The "spontaneous" and "events... that are totally out of your control" happen every day on our roads. There is no need for you to exacerbate the situation by taking your car to the limits of your control - it just means that things beyond your control will happen more.

People are stupid. They have a habit of turning up where they shouldn't (like, at illegal street races). People not associated with your activities actually have MORE rights to be on any road you are taking part in an "illegal activity" because they are abiding by the law and you are not. The public - unlike the crowd at a race track - have not chosen to risk their lives by watching you, and it is NOT up to you and your arrogance to risk their lives for them.

my wagon fliped My knee hurts so much ah.....i got a cople scrapes on my arm and legs...it burns.....
I wanna paint my wagon black and put a sticker on it saying

TOYOTA

Half the discussion in this thread is flat-out illegal, and endangering to innocent people on the road. You people should know better.

I'm going to specifically issue a warning to 128d to never speak of drifting on public roads (or any other illegal/dangerous activities) ever again.

I'll close with this: Drifting in GT3 is absolutely fine. Drifting in controlled exhibitions where the roads are closed off by officials is fine. Drifting on public roads isn't.
