Do you really spend time on practice tracks?

I agree with most of the other replies.

I use the Practice to try to improve the setups because it's a lot easier to get back to tweaking it rather than jumping into a race and having to abandon, reload, try, repeat....

Also great if I've already got a comfortable setup and want to improve timings based on driving line, braking points, entry/exits.

If you're not using it and just dive-bombing into the race, you're missing out on quite a lot. But it's your time :)

Same here for the most part, in fact, the "game" portion of GT, I just consider work, win the events so I can gain enough money and XP to purchase the cars I really want, and go hot lapping. To me GT is about experiencing the cars on your own, not really racing them against the computer.

heh likewise. I only race or 'grind' to get enough money to buy a bunch of cars to test out.

I use practice mode alot as well. I'm also hooked on the course maker, and the only place you can fully utilise them is in practice mode.

Sometimes I use it to take a break from grinding.

Yep, to test setups, deal with handling problems, test new cars, trying to replicate real life times to find the real life counterpart in tyres.

Finetune setups, saving replays and data check them etc...

practice is half of my game...
