Hey, do you guys remember "OK soda"!? It was out for about 6 months in 94 or 95. That was the best soda ever!

How about MTV's "The State"? Same time period, 94 ish, some of its cast went onto Reno 911.

What are some of the long lost, trivial, or obscure things you remember? If they were so great back then, what the hell did we ever do with them!
Oh, wait, remember the Power Glove, or Turbo Grafix 16!?

Turbo Grafx 16, Neo Geo, 3DO, Lynx, Jaguar... all consoles I wanted badly.

As the very cool looking (for the mid-90s) $10K-20K Silicon Graphics computers with Digital Alpha 266MHz processors. (incidently, SGI went bankrupt a few days ago).

Thats good stuff! I do remember those computers vaigely, and I used to have a Jaguar! It sucked so bad! My friend had a 3D0, that was bad ass. Remember the Phillips CDI, it was supposed to revolutionize the way you played games and watched movies, had that, it sucked. I had alot of good times on Apple II's.

I was just about to say Phillips CD-I. Man, that thing looked awesome in the store. I never got one, and had always planed to get one after I had enough money to get one, but never did. Good thing, too, because it never caught on.

I remember Aspen soda. It was very crisp, refreshing "Sierra Mist" type soda that had a strong apple sider flavor to it. It was awesome, but too heavy for most people and it never caught on.

Remember Waffle-O's cereal. They took it off the market when two kids choked to death on it, or so the rumor goes. It was a cornmeal based cereal that tasted like maple syrup that turned into a dry, grainy, choking, cornmeal mush once you started to chew it.

How about those old Nickelodeon shows like "Are you afraid of the dark?" Those were awesome. 90% of my childhood memories gravitate around Nickelodeon.

Oh, that reminds me. I remember On and Select TV paid TV service. It was paid TV before Comcast cable and DirecTV.

I remember an old Nickelodeon show called "You can't do that on television"... always seemed kind of odd.

Haha. Or even remember watching All That or something like that. I went over my friends house and we watched that on one of his tapes full of Nick. He kept rewinding over and over again to see the part where the store gaurd goes "Wa-wa-wa-wa-wait there Slimmm-Jimmm."

We were obsessed. About 15 minutes after that we had a contest to see who could stare into one of those huge 6-Volt flashlights the longest.

Waffle-O's! Yes, "You cant do that on television"!!!! "I dont know", then you get slimed! How about the nick show, "Roundhouse"?

CDI, my parents picked one up somewhere, thinking it would be really cool cause I was a little tech nerd, you could watch Video-CD's, which was hot technology back then, but the format was terrible, Laserdisc was better. Which reminds me, I have some of those left too!

Oh! I loved "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"! I used to watch that show all the time. I actually saw a few episodes recently and noticed how many actors I recongnized that actually made it big, Elisha Cuthbert being one of em. 👍 Pretty good for a low budget canadian show.

I was just about to mention that! I use to spend my lunch time watching that show. I still remember the one skit about the 3D Dumbo movie with the giant fake poop that falls on the kid.

Kinda weird how the one girl grew up to be the Canadian singer Alanis Morrisette.

Carl.

What was the handheld version of the Turbo Grafix called? My buddy had one, and it used the same credit card games from the console.

In the movie, Enemy of the State, Jason Lee's character backs up the movie of the guy getting killed, and put the memory card in that same hand held.

edit: I just remembered! TurboExpress!

Hmmm... "You Can't Do That".... try as I might, I can't remember Alanis Morrisette from that show...

I had an Apple ][e... that thing rocked. I used to play Lode Runner till my eyes were ready to shrivel up into my skull.

Wanna go even older? We had a NEC with a tape drive.

Biker Mice and Street Sharks... meh... give me the "Super Six" or "Rocky and Bullwinkle" anytime.

Morrisettes' nickname on the show was "Moose". I think I remember the tape game, did it have a jet fighter game, like Afterburner style?

Anyone remember squiggle porn?

Hahaha. You know, with the funky colors and severely distorted picture.

Are you kidding me, I wouldn't have made it through puberty without it.

What about Biker Mice from Mars, or Shark Heads?

Those were some good early 90s TV shows...

DO I EVER!!! I had a shark heads toy, and I Used to watch biker mice from mars ALL the time, the main bad guy scared me, what was his name?? Limburger or something like that???

How about...

Anyone remember the Game Boy Pocket, the original one released?

 Couldn't think up of a better item to share....

I still have BMFM tapes and stuff. Modo was cool and I loved when Vinnie went a complete spaz. Limburger was the superfat guy in the suit. But, there was also the oil guy who drove the bike with a livingroom lamp as his headlight. I have a bunch of toys and crap somewhere.

Gameboy Camera anyone...?

Virtual boy?

Original Duke Nukem?! (I had a very different childhood compared to now)

Chuck Yeagers flight somethin or whatever...had 16 colors i think

ORIGINAL LEMMINGS AND BOULDER-DASH!

Manhunter: New York!!

Perhaps even King's Quest?

Okay...I'm done...video game history depresses me (plays Half Life 2)

Never had tape games for the NEC... hell... I'd like to have known where to find them!

Gameboy original? Done that... VirtuaBoy? Wonderful concept... but eye-straining!

CHUCK YEAGER ROCKS!!!!! Some of the BEST damn gameplay ever!!! Nothing feels quite as good as getting into a classic circling dogfight and taking out five bogeys at once! And the best part is watching it again... and again... and again... in replay... complete with the 3D plot of your manuevers!

Oh, and the original Elite... damn that would have been fun with multiplayer... that's the closest to an MMORPG you could get in those days.

Ooh... could do this all day... Colecovision? Mousetrap? Spacefury? (awesome multiplayer)... Zaxxon, anyone?
