Microsoft has their own forum, Sony has their own, but Nintendo get's the shaft.

I'd really love to post in the "gaming general" forum, but it's so cluttered, I really would like to see a Nintendo sub forum where I can discuss nintendo gaming, and other things like the revolution, etc.

I mean, I've got a Nintendo DS, which is by far the best handheld on the market right now (due to software) yet I have no where here to talk about the best handheld racing game on the market, Mario Kart DS.

Just wondering who else has the same opinoin. :)

I say we make one that's sort of "in-between". As much as we may not like it, Nintendo just isn't as popular as it used to be. So instead of having a forum devoted to each system like they have for PS2/3, XB/360, we'd have just one "Nintendo" forum.

So my answer would be "yes".

^^ That's what I mean. Just a nintendo forum, to talk about GC, DS, and Revolution news. I just think it's more than justified.

I also voted "yes". Nintendo's one of the reasons I still play videogames. 👍

Good question, simple answer- HELL YES!

After all, Nintendo's been around longer than most other companies, and still is still a great company. Think of all the fans of Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Pokémon, and all other original Nintendo series. Before Rare joined Microsoft, Nintendo and Rare made perhaps the best N64 game of all time, Goldeneye. Nintendo isn't dead even if the current rivalry is Sony vs. Microsoft. People beat down on the Nintendo Revolution and the Nintendo DS. I thought being unique was a good thing. I thought Nintendo can still be a solid game company. I may not play the GameCube a lot, but without Nintendo, I don't think I'd ever love video games. They still make fun games even if not on par with most other Sony and Microsoft. No Nintendo discussion, no Nintendo, the gaming world will get pretty boring because it's just Sony and Microsoft until some other group wants to challenge.

So for fans of Nintendo and the games they've made over the years, there should DEFINITELY be a Nintendo discussion. Not just GameCube, not just the D.S., not just the Revolution, but Nintendo past and present. I know you can dig that, right?

Not really. It's up to Jordan.

Why do you say not really? I mean, I really really do wonder why anyone would want to sift through the tons of pages in gaming general to find nintendo topics about their games and such.

I mean, what could it POSSIBLY hurt to have a nintendo forum?

There isn't really that much topic about Nintendo games, that's why. But it's just me.
;)

Well, I still think we do, everyone get's all antsy if you bring up nintendo in another forum etc, and we have no place to discuss it. There is a ton of awesome stuff coming out from Nintendo, and we have no where to talk about it here...which sucks. Favoritism much?

Well, on the flip side of the "not much Nintendo talk" argument, they are launching a new console this year, one that is (if I may say so) radically different from anything that's come before. I think it'd be great to have a dedicated place to talk about it, rather than it getting buried away in the General Gaming forum.

Seriously, there are three consoles out there at any given moment.. and yet only two of them have their own forums here.

I can't say whether there should or shouldn't be a Nintendo forum. That's for Jordan to decide. But there is no point in it being posted here as he may not see it. If you want to request a Nintendo forum, then asking in the Site Feedback forum is the best option.

Actually, wait for GTP8 which is just about to be released. You never know what'll be in it.*

* I don't know what's in it either. I'm not saying that to hint that GTP8 may contain a Nintendo forum.
