Do you think we will get a Photo mode in GT5P

I have dabbled with the photo mode in PGR on the 360 and didn't really get the point.. But after seeing some of the high-res shots of GT5 (which I assume were taken with some kind of photo mode) I wonder if we are going to get this function.

I love the idea of racing against friends (assuming we get some kind of lobby system) and then capturing high-res frames from some key moments of the game.

Does anyone think we will get a 'photo mode' in prologue, or do you think we will have to wait until the 'full' game?

I think that we'll have to wait to the full game comes out, but if we're lucky it maybe comes as an update to GT5P
 
Photomode is an excellent feature, especialy when you can jump in mid race replay, PGR3 was the first major console game to do it and allow you to download the images to the net, followed by Forza 2, Goto the Forza 2 website and have a look at some of the best photo mode pics! some stunning work! with the graphics on GT5 this is going to be something else! At the end of race weekends our whole F2 team would line up nose in on a bend and we'd save some pics, edit them and post up on our forum the weekends shots, sounds a bit silly but nothing like seeing your pride and joy up on a forum after some good races! Heres 2 of my babys after a hard fought weekend!

It was as far as consoles go but you were unable to upload them to the net or you PC easily, plus they were only available with set piece back grounds ie you couldn't take them from a race replay if my memory serves me right ( but I'm pished so may be wrong LOL ) Heres 2 I took from some online race replays in PGR3 many moons ago!

Again these were fairly easy to get onto the net and your PC thus I can show them here, also the photo mode on both of these games added many filter options as no doubt GT5 will have.
 
If you had a memory stick it was incredibly easy, and you could certainly take pictures from a replay...
 
Have you got some examples? I can't remember being able to do this but I've just got back in fro a beer festival and I seem to have left a few million brain cells there LOL
 
Just look in the Gallery section. Most of the pictures are in-race.
 
So you could pause the replay, enter photo mode then save your pics straight to the net or to a usb stick? Not being facetious I honestly didn't realize it was that easy on GT4!

See it actualy takes a bit of work to get a good picture LOL I suspect GT5 will look sexy from any angle LOL

Oh yeah I didn't take those last 2 pics LOL
 
yes and these photos are a perfect example of why PD shouldn't provide too much freedom for future editing options in the full GT5.
 
LMAO, I have some great memories of cat and mouse on PGR2 (sigh)... Those were the days.

franz: Yes you are correct but of course it didnt get much credit for this innovation.

yeah old date on the calander, could be GT5 shot.....heres hopeing though, No doubt Amar will take a toilet break from GTp in the next 12 hours and may post us some more pics before he continues his marathon session to get that F1 car LOL

Yes very old picture, not just the date, look at the Icons.... thats the old pre-GT5P game shoe style icons.
 
Cheers for that I stand corected! Even though I've been a big fan of the GT series from the first game I never realized you could do this! I've also bobed on and off this forum many times but never saw that sticky! Lets hope GT5p has photo mode included so I can join in or I may have to go dust off GT4 and start from scratch....not a bad thing though LOL
 
Amar hasn't mentioned anything of photomode yet, so I doubt it will be in GT5P.
 
Why wouldnt they? Im pretty sure GT5 will have the photomode, this isnt even a concern.

We are not talking about GT5 (no doubt it will be included in GT5). We are talking about GT5 Prologue.

GT5p is due out very soon, and were wondering if photomode will be in it, hopefully Amar can reveal this feature in his hands on updates.

I think the big difference between the photomodes was that with FM2 and PGR3 you could simply load your pics from 360 straight to their website , no thumbdrive needed.

Because it would add so much more play time with the game, plus we can take nice photos to share with each other while waiting for GT5.

Yeah stuff like weekly photo compertitions are good fun or a pic of the F1 car up against the mini for a laugh:sly:
