i was going to buy one, but they don't carry the cool one with the shifter here anymore. (not me)

My parents bought me a steering wheel last Christmas, but it was a really cheap $20 one, but I don't really want to say anything to them about its quality... It's not too great b/c it requires a table to set on(needs to be clamped, or else you can't even turn the wheel because the whole unit turns with it)

well i got the Logitech Driving Force w/ force Feedback and i a pretty satisfied but here in canada it's costs 160$ so i baught it was getting boring w/ the Dual Shock Controller

Just a quick note - cleaned up the post title and the poll so the thread's a bit clearer.

I've used wheels all the way through the GT series. I don't drive my car with a DSII, so it makes sense to play the best driving simulator with a steering wheel.

The feedback through the GT Force wheel is fantastic - really adds a lot of depth to the game.

Yeah, Vat_man you are right about the feedback.
Sure beats the shaking of a DS2..

I use a Momo wheel.

I havent got a PS2 wheel, but I have one for my PSOne, but its broken :( basically ive noticed that one of the pins in the connector is missing so im going to have to open up the connector and solder a new pin, so I can get back to some good ole fashioned GT2 fun. :)

A lot of the ordinary USB pc wheels work, and some are pretty cheap.

This may sound kind of stupid but I want one without force feedback, because I have nowhere to mount it. Although I wouldnt mind one that worked for my PS2 and my PC, there are plenty of good games that would benifit from the wheel, as you have shown me. :D

I use the GT force wheel, it just seems more like driving a real car to me. That seems to be the main point of the game to me. Although it might be quicker to use the DualShock I've never been tempted to find out. To offset the cost I've refrained from buying 'lesser' games for the PS2.

Yes! I use the Logitech Driving Force. It is great:) I LOVE it! Now, that I've taken up drifting, it is really helping me alot:p

I played 300 days w/out a steering wheel, and now at 800+ days with the last 500 running a logitech GT Driving Force wheel, I'll never go back. If I can't use a wheel, I won't play the game.

One question, however: On occasion, when the wheel is at either lock, the shifters won't work. I called Logitech on this, and they said it was a chronic problem with all wheels they produce. Anyone else having this problem?

Also: Someone needs to create a wheel with a classic H pattern 6-speed which won't shift w/out the clutch depressed. Logitech, hope you're listening!
