How about making the clutch for use with SOME cars. Nowadays the computer does the clutch electronicaly in some cars and all you need to do is shift. They also do this in Rally Cars......

That's called a sequential transmission.

Also: Someone needs to create a wheel with a classic H pattern 6-speed which won't shift w/out the clutch depressed. Logitech, hope you're listening!

Great idea, I've often thought an H pattern would be awesome, but I suppose getting it right with the necessary durability might not be very easy - and thus expensive to make.

If it wont shift without the clutch being pressed, how can you make clutchless gearchanges - tricky to get right in a road car with a synchro box, but relatively easy in a car with a racing gearbox.

It'd have to use some kind of system to prevent people from just powershifting every single time, such as a loss in power after a while, or durability issues with the car.

Sudden great idea: A shifter that took far more force to shift without the clutch in.

This may sound kind of stupid but I want one without force feedback, because I have nowhere to mount it. Although I wouldnt mind one that worked for my PS2 and my PC, there are plenty of good games that would benifit from the wheel, as you have shown me. :D

Get the Logitech one, and unplug the power supply.
I works both on PC and PS2. 👍
