Do your wheel turns the same as the "in game" wheel?

I've a Logitech G25 and i've noticed since GT5P that the wheel turns more than it should, not corresponding to the in-game rotation of the wheel...

As an example: When I turn 90º of the wheel, the "in game" wheel it only turns about 45º??!?!?

In drifting and rallying i feel the problem gets worse. I end up doing a lot of rotation in my wheel that simply isn't the right one!!

Do this happen with the others wheels too? (DFGT, Thrustmaster, etc)

I hope they can correct that in a nearby future...

I love GT5 but this is a huge failure.

i've tried in LFS and it works great... (900º)

It's like that with my DF Pro as well, it's most likely that way for all wheels. The steering wheels in the game camera look like they all turn with a 200 degree radius, while your logitech is using a 900 degree radius.

There might be a way to change your wheel to turn with only 200 if it's bothering you, I know I can do it on the pro but I'm not familiar with the other wheels.

The only car I have found that matches the turning of both is the Kart, since it's steering is so sensitive.

The G25 is configurated in GT5 in the DFPro menu, but I cant found the option to set the turning angle as you say... :/
Maybe this could attenuate the problem... or even solve it.

But what about the 900 degree rotation support? :indiff:

Yes, i've noticed its better but still not perfect with G25, but much better calibrated that the other car wheels

Its not a failure.....

Every car has different steering ratios in the game... Its not like a typical video game where you turn the wheel and it turns the exact same way for every car. Each car has a different ratio just like in real life. They did this in the game to get a sense of "steering feel" in the video game. I can notice steering feel with the normal controller as long as I use cockpit view.

Obviously you cant make the controller steering wheel the same as the in game steering wheel when every car is different.

Well, with my wheel you change it by holding Start + R2 + either R3 or R1 I think, I've never actually changed it but its done on the wheel not through game settings. Like I said, not very familiar with other wheels, maybe someone else can chime in and let you know if it's possible.

Another option would be to pause it and set the interior viewing angle to extra zoom, That should cut off most of the wheel out of the camera that way. It's just supposed to be a representation of you turning the wheel, maybe pd just thought it unimportant to show the driver using hand-over-hand.

They didn't manage to creating driver hand animation which can crosses arm while also shifting, hence we have this limited steering angle.

The G25 has 900 degree of rotation, and about the same steering ratio as a S2000 IRL, but the degree of steer in the game is way off the real one. Even with individual steering ratio account it is still off by some margin.

I will try that, tanks :)
i dont know if it works on G25.

Well ok... but LFS as also different cars with different wheel rotation degrees and all of those are correct or can be ajusted correctly.

Yesterday i've tried WRC 2010 (PS3) in a friends house and the direction was accurate... very different from GT5.
I can't remember if Dirt2 was accurate as well, but i think so.
Maybe because they have a more restrict selection of cars (rally cars).

So, this happens to all the wheel models right?

I think that fanatec has one device that can calibrate something, i guess is the steering angle lock.
