I'm a newbie, So I just piled every add on I could afford and that was available for this car into it.

It now reaches 120mph instead of 111 before it cuts out and refuses to accelerate further.
Is there anyway to make it faster?

I have nitrous, but I don't know if I have to manually operate it or not ?

You should have a button allocated for nitrous. As standard it is R1 on a DS3 controller. You'll see on your display how much you have left as you use the nitrous up.

Check the GT6 tuning forum on this site for tunes.

If you're looking for top speed, the transmission will need adjusting at the very least. You're probably hitting the rev limiter, just increasing the top speed setting in the fully customisable transmission will change that.

What is the exact name of the car, including the year, as it appears in the game?

Click that link to see a race tune that has had good reviews.
I think there's a race car & a road car version in the game (not sure), so check to see if it's for the right one.

The transmission settings will need to be done last & in the order instructed. Once you have set them, don't then touch the top speed setting again.
Just adjust the final gear setting so that you hit your top speed at the end of the longest straight at whichever track you're on.

If you're looking for drag racing settings then there may be different better tunes for you.
Browse the tuning forum as appropriate.

Take a look around, there are databases & threads with loads of ideas & tunes. 👍

Edit:
LOL at your Avatar.
Just noticed.
:) cheers.

Instead of posting twice in succession, you should use the edit button on the previous post. As I am doing now. 👍

I already adjusted the top speed to maximum before you sent this link.

I'll try to work it out best I can though.
Thanks.
This is a great car, I'd love it to be able to perform with the big boys.

Ah yes, I have the non racing version.

I'll buy the other one and paint it the same colour as this one, then follow the guide you sent.
Thanks again !

I dont know what :

'Reset = Final gear at 5000 = Max speed 100mph = Ratios = Final gear at 2.628 ( If you want change the speed, adjust with the final gear only ) = Done !!'

means at all, but I'll try ot ofigure it out when I get there.

You have this one then?

Now that the game is over 2 years old, there is a huge amount of material available with advice, settings & such like.
I recommend once again that you familiarise yourself with the tuning forum & database, as well as the other GT6 forums on this site.
You can find pretty much anything you need at the touch of a button. :)

Thats the one.
I'll have to try to figure it out.

For example,
''Make changes, if you don't get 413hp and 500pp, change oil !!''

My bhp and PP is already higher than that.

Also the race car version, out of the box has a higher PP rating than the tweaked one!?
Strange.

I must be missing something.
I'll copy it best I can anyway.

Those particular tunes aren't necessarily designed to be as powerful as possible, most tunes aren't.
You'll also notice that tuners often use the power limiter or combinations of upgrades to stay within a specific pp level.

Give them a try & see how much better (hopefully) the car drives than how you have it now.
If you still want to max the car out, you can use those tunes (or some other tunes) as a starting point. I just pulled them straight out of the database for you today, there will no doubt be other options available too.

It's running way better already, Thanks for your time :)

I still don't understand this though:
Reset = Final gear to 5000 = Max speed 100mph = Ratios = Final gear to 3.060 ( If you want change the speed, adjust with the final gear only ) = Done !!

It's the order in which you need to make changes.

Fully Customisable Transmission should be added after all of the power upgrades.

Then when you come to set the numbers...

  • Reset the customisable transmission to its default settings.
  • Set the final gear to 5.000
  • Set max speed to 100mph (never change this again)
  • Set the individual gear Ratios (probably 1-5 or 1-6, depends how many gears the car has)
  • Set the final gear again, this time to 3.060

Head to the track.

If you don't alter the tune at all, for example by upgrading to more power, then the only transmission setting you should touch again is the final gear. You just slide that left or right until it suits the circuit you're using.

Different tunes & different cars will have different numbers, of course.

Customisable transmission is one of the first things I added lol
I was unable to get the same ratios as that page.
I guess I'll have to use a different transmission, then re-buy the customizable one again.

I can just about follow the instruction, but it's the part where he leaves me to my own devices that I'm clueless about:
Reset = Final gear to 5000 = Max speed 100mph = Ratios = Final gear to 3.060 ( If you want change the speed, adjust with the final gear only ) = Done !!

Still have no idea what it means.
Sorry to take up time.

Also, I want to travel over 140mph, so I may have to set it higher.
It gives 140mph only when set at 100mph.

I was unable to get the same ratios as that page.
If you do the oil change & then set everything as per the tune then do the transmission in that order, it should work. Unless there's a mistake in the tune, I didn't create it so I'm not sure.

If you take it off then put it back on, you don't need to pay for it again.

Follow the instructions I gave you above.

It gives 140mph only when set at 100mph.
Don't change the max speed, it resets the gears. You only put it to 100 to distort the graph ready to set it manually.

To increase top speed, pull the final gear across to the left (if I remember correctly) & you'll see the graph stretch across to the right.
This is your final step, after you've set all the numbers as per instructed.
Sorry to take up time.
No problem. Now that you know about the tuning forum & the database therein, you'll be able to find settings for cars on your own next time. You might even learn how to devise your own tunes. 👍

My own tunes?! Perhaps not, but I think I've finally got the hang of following these instructions.
I just got 221Mph out of my Non racing model Challenger! ,and only needed to change the last gear ratio as per instructions.
Thanks again :)
Is great fun.

Can I ask, whats your favourite car in Turismo by the way?
