I am playing the Classic Muscle Car Championship in Amateur in A-spec. Thing is, when my Dodge Challenger 1970 reaches 180 km/h, it slows down to 172, goes back up to 180 and slows down again etc ... This is very strange as I never let go of the throttle on my controller.

What's going on?

In my driving options, everything is turned off except for the Driving lane. I'm using the Automatic Transmission option.

I bought the fully customizable transmission and saw that the "Max Speed" was set to 180. I raied the number to 300 and now this is fixed. Thank you

BTW, what's up with the Dodge's engine sound? Sounds like a Formula 1 car Oo

You won't hit 300. You are just gimping the acceleration. Move it up just enough so you don't hit the rev limiter.

If you switch to third view person you can hear the exhaust better.

*Correction* Move it up so that you are in the powerband most of the time 👍

If you are going for that, checking the tuning forum. There are a couple threads that walk through how to tune a transmission for NA and turbo power plants.

Personally I don't like custom transmissions and I don't like ruining classics, the car's top speed is enough in most cases, I just hold the throttle at like 70% or whatever so I don't hit the rev limiter but I still keep the revs high.

Ruin? There's a muscle car (can't remember which one) that tops out at about 105mph in standard trim, thus rendering it useless. You can't tell me dropping a custom tranny on this ruins it.

It's not useless if you know how to use it in the right races.... I just don't like ruining classics with modern parts. I think the car you're talking about is the premium Mustang Mach 1.

Kph, not Mph. 300 is about 186-7 Mph, sounds about right for a tuned muscle car.

This isn't real life, so you can just buy another one and not have to worry.

I found this happening in one of my tuned DLC cars so I thought I would see if happens in another car. Come to find out it's heppening in all my tuned cars. So I tested a untuned DLC car and it doesn't happen. If this is one of the new physics that Kaz and the PD team has added GREAT.

My trany is set do I don't hit the RVL while up shifting and at top gear. All my tuned cars lose power way before red line and Im findind some if my stock race cars are faster than the tuned ones on some tracks.

If the top speed of the tuned car is less than the stock version then you either have to change the transmission ratios to get back into the powerband of the engine, or lower the downforce settings to reduce aerodynamic drag.
