DukeBut yes, I do plan on keeping it forever, and if I win the lottery the first thing I will do is drive it to a good restoration shop and tell them to make it like new.

DukeThe 2.2 turbo Shelby Charger...
MavenSo if people think the new Charger is sacriligious, what do they think of the mid-80's Dodge Charger that was based on the Mitsubishi Starion?
This is iffy, but Maven may have been thinking of the Galant based Challenger from '78-'84.M5PowerSuch a vehicle doesn't exist. The only Chrysler vehicles based on the Mitsubishi Starion were the Chrysler Conquest, Dodge Conquest, and Plymouth Conquest.
Plymouth Sapporo, right? I remember seeing that combo in the used car price guide, back in the 80's.EmohawkThis is iffy, but Maven may have been thinking of the Galant based Challenger from '78-'84.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they sell it as an Eagle Conquest for a while, too?M5PowerSuch a vehicle doesn't exist. The only Chrysler vehicles based on the Mitsubishi Starion were the Chrysler Conquest, Dodge Conquest, and Plymouth Conquest. You may think I'm joking, but I'm not: the Conquest is the only vehicle to be sold under three brand names with the same model name and body (though it was never sold as a Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler in the same year at any point, and the body did change slightly before it became a Chrysler).
The mid-80s Charger was front-drive and was a twin (I think) of the Chrysler Laser, one of the rarest 1980s products around. I have a neighbor who has a blue one - that makes it one of two I've seen in the last five years. They also have a late-80s Taurus wagon, which they bought new (along with the Laser). This leads me to believe they're old. If they die, I'm pouncing on that Laser.

P.S. Doug, I downloaded AIM. I hope AOL doesn't load up my new laptop with a bunch of crap!
