Does any one else get booted from the server all the time?

When ever I play online, about every other room I get booted from the server regardless of how good the signal strength claims it is, does everybody have these problems or is it just me?

You're not the only one, it happens to me all the time, maybe it's just we have poor Internet connection.

I was having the same problem last night, and I was on a 15mbps connection. I think it's more the Psn than anything.

If the speed of your connection is fluctuating, then it will boot you out if it falls below the threshold of the room. Try to avoid rooms with 4 & 5 stars, go in rooms with 2 or 3 stars, but make sure the latency bars are showing 4 or 5, otherwise you'll experience lag out on track. Your upload speed is far more important than your download, regarding having a good experience in GT5, I have about 700kbps upload & have little to no problems, you?

I've got a 2.4MB download and 356kbps upload and I get booted frequently but not unbearably. It could be a problem with GT5 servers, as Kaz has claimed that they are not running at their full potential yet.

I switched to wired and have only been disconnected once in the 4 months since switching. It made a huge difference.

The problem I have now is the black screen and 5-8 minutes to exit a room (ever since 1.10).

I have trouble joining a room like every second time I try but I rarely get disconnected once I'm in.

This used to happen to me, then I cleared my cache. Haven't been disconnected since.

What happens to me is when I'm racing, people will join or leave the lobby. Then the cars that I'm racing with, all of a sudden, act like no one is controlling them. Then one by one they'll disappear, then I'm all alone. If I exit out, and wait for the race to get done. I won't be able to connect with the other racers, in the lobby. I would have to exit and rejoin. It doesn't happen all the time, but maybe 30-35% of the time. Already cleared the cache, and I'll clear it again later. Might have to look at the router again, but I don't have any problems with other PS3 games, or Xbox live.

First of all there are problems with the servers, I'm on 50meg fibre optic cable link and i hosted a room last night where we had a lot of lag 10 people in it, So we all quit i open a new room and it was fine the rest of the night.

As for disconection from the server I used to get this quite a lot and have found that the playstation does'nt like pc's online at the same time especially if your file sharing, So empty cache regular connect to router via a fixed cable and close all programs on any pc's that are running fileshare or are uploading information. This way you should eliminate all but server problems.

Never got booted from a room since 1.10. Since I get booted every 30 mins on the dot. I have a timer that I start when I enter a room 25 min later it goes off as a 5 min warning

Seriously? That's weird. I get disconnected often & my cache is always cleared before online racing.

It seems to happen at random. I get disconnected from people who are within my region, within my street even, but then I can play for ages against someone on the other side of the world without a single hitch…
