Commonly known as the fastest car off the lights.....

That's actually incorrect. Any car can be equally fast assuming you "know how".

Except SUV's, they are a completely different beast.

You don't drive the car - the car drives you.

Oh wait, wrong sitememe.

Those who have seen what I am on about will get this (link?)

But im curious, does anyone ACTUALLY drive the elusive 2.2 Camry? Commonly known as the fastest car off the lights.....

Ever.

I guess you haven't seen "The Thread" and have only seen all the references and jokes about the 2.2 Camry.

Except SUV's, they are a completely different beast.

I heard the crew of Fast and Furious got paied in Camrys after the films. Paul wanted to swap a RB in it, thus he didn't make it in the third movie.
He learned the hard way...

I'd only dare at the Bonneville salt flats. With my eyes closed. It would also have to be alone. No other cars there. I can't race with other cars. They would be moving forward, and that would just annoy the 🤬 out of me.

I've wanted to find one as a first car but I don't know if I can handle it.

My friend has a 2.4 Camry SE, but she doesn't know how to drive it to beat a 2.2 Camry.

Go to 1:10.

Whenever I read one of Eminembeastfan2's threads about his legendary driving prowess, I always picture this happening. Substitute the F1 car for a run of the mill road car.

I wanted to take a course called "How to out-accel any car" but sadly didn't have the time. I know the car has the potential to beat any car, but sadly I don't know how.

I thought hawkeye also has a 2.2 Camry?

Doesn't a 2.2 Celica count? I used to drive one of those... What about a 2.0 Camry, will that do?

I can only handle the training model, a 1.8-liter Scion.

Yes, I do have a 2.2 Camry and I really like out-accelerating others in traffic lights. Who cares if they're not trying to race me? I'm still faster lol.

Actually I can out-accelerate any car because I know how. Did I say any car? Lol I obviously didn't include any supercars like Ferraris.

True, true. I have the 3.0l variant.

However, one cannot just "buy" a 2.2l. They are mostly owned by classic car collectors and professional race car drivers, as their daily driver.

From a well respected car magazine:

"whilst the 3.0 offers more torque and a more refined driving experience, the lower weight of the 2.2l block, combined with its unrated power delivery (manufacturer claims are proven to be wrong) translate into an unparalleled performance package that is best left to raw edged racers who are able to handle the brute acceleration".

I've done better.

I drive a 3.0 Avalon? You think the camry's a beat? This car is GODZILLA in black!
Oh the Camry can beat a Lambo? Well my Avalon has singlehandely beat the Hennessey Venom GT from one stoplight to another! I was doing 70 while the Venom was doing 30. Thirty!!!!!!!111111.

You guys can't even imagine the awesomeness which is Avalon.

Avalons are scary just because they don't make any damn noise. You're driving around, and you look down and you're going 10 over.

The 2.2 is also the only front wheel drive car that is fast enough to wheelie.

Mine has an exhaust leak which I really don't feel like fixing.

It makes the car go VRROOOOOOOOM VROOOOM .
