There are a heap of things in GT5 that I just do not touch.

GTTV
Arcade mode
3D features
Museum
Horns
Storing parts in the Items section
Split screen
Any of the "social" aspects of online. The walls, the messages etc.

Anyone else?

I use GT TV. I've downloaded all the free videos. Entertaining stuff. :)

You have to use Arcade mode to get the Nurburgring trophy. I'll sometimes practice drifting using Arcade mode as well.

I like the museum. I think it's neat. :)

Haven't figured out how to use the horns yet...

Haven't really used any of the "social aspect" functions of the game yet. Though, now that I think about it, I think I'll leave something embarrassing on one of m'mates walls... ;D

I do arcade mode when I want a competitive race that isn't one-make (like in practice). And I store parts in the items section when I dont need them at the moment or are giving them to someone. And split screen is nice when you got a friend over. Lots of fun messing around with them!

GTTV: I usually go on here from time to time to see If they are some good free videos to download.
Arcade mode: It was awesome the last time I did it in a F40 so I'll probably try again next time.
3D features: Don't have a 3DTV.
Museum: Maybe a use to me If I don't have nothing to do. I did read some cards from the Ford category a few months back -- It had some interesting history.
Horns: Useless to me If I want to fit a car w/o a horn one (not sure if it works, though).
Storing parts in the Items section: Pretty nice option when you purchase more than one item in the Tuning Shop, viewing your paint chips, etc.
Split screen: Useless to me.
Social Aspects (The Wall, messages, etc.): Pretty cool feature, but I used this rarely.

The GTTV is a joke. If i'm not mistaken it was said you could watch things like topgear but all ive seen is just kaz doing the 24h. I don't care for that at all.

No thread Hijack intended but here it go's anyway,

How do you set up split screen play for GT5? got the 2 tv's just no idea how the run them as a split screen for gt5?

There's some good free stuff on GT-TV. I particularly enjoyed the GT Academy 08 series and the Goodwood Festival of Speed two parter was interesting too. The 24hr Nurburgring was alrite as well.

Can't see myself ever forking out for any of the paid content tho.

The free stuff is a nice little bonus that I think some people forget while they're busy complaining about the game.

Mostly no, but the horns do amuse me. There are quite a few that sound like the horn on my sister's old Megane, which was so pathetic I just couldn't not laugh for quite a long time...

However I've never actually installed a horn, I tried to put one on my X540 earlier and it said no horns allowed. This upsets me.

Well I paid some quids to watch the Super GT series.
Arcade for me is to test out cars without damaging it & wasting a day in GT life mode.
And I do enjoy the museum. Lots of things I knew when I was a child, but forgot during the lifecourse

Is that an issue? Just means your UCD updates...

Arcade and split screen, of course. I've also downloaded and watched some of the free contents on GT TV. But won't be paying a penny for two y/o pay contents.

I've used social twice since Christmas!! Haven't bothered with horns, museum, etc.

Its called split screen because it splits 1 screen into 2 or more parts. You only need 2 controllers, and just 1 tv/PS3. Hook up a second controller, go to split screen option, and enjoy.

I use split screen and arcade mode whenever my girlfriend wants to play. I haven't dabbled into Course Maker too much, but I would if I had the time (and if it let you race those tracks online!)

That's called multi-screen. Way different.

I've used split-screen and arcade mode. In my opinion, split-screen is a must for a racing game. Forcing someone to buy a separate system just to play with someone standing next to you is outrageous. Some people don't have the luxury of being able to purchase more than one system.

It is an issue when your current credit is less than the credit required to buy the car you are after. What if it pops up the next day?

Well arcade mode doesn't payout anything so you'd be stuck in an infinite loop - needing more money but not earning any, for the car that isn't in the UCD that you're not cycling...

I have used Arcade, split screen and the museum. I'm too focused on getting to A-Spec 40 to look at the rest right now.

For me Split-Screen is a 'MUST'.
It's even superior to online gaming as you can have not only a virtual but real beer afterwards with your friends ;-)

GTTV

Yes - haven't you watched the free stuff? It's great!

Arcade mode

3D features

Museum

Horns

Storing parts in the Items section

Split screen

Any of the "social" aspects of online. The walls, the messages etc.

Useful sometimes...

Horns are an insult to my intelligence. Did they really spend valuable resources implementing that travesty? I still can't believe how useless they are.

I'd have to question your intelligence if you feel you are being insulted by horns, they only go BEEP BEEP. :)

j/k!

But I've never even heard them go BEEP BEEP. That's why they're so useless.

It would be mildly amusing if the AI actually used them and would respond to being BEEPed. But it seems they only use the chrome horn instead...

It would be hilarious if the AI driver got out of his car after flipping you the bird, then smashed your headlights with a tyre iron.

You gotta be careful who you toot :D

Nope. You can basically find just about everything on the internet for free, anyways.

Arcade mode
At times, yes. The arcade races aren't particularily interesting, but hotlapping wthout putting additonal milage on the car is useful (at times).

3D features
Nope, I don't have a 3D TV and don't plan on buying one until they're a lot cheaper.

Nope, I'll use Wikipedia (or other sides) if I want serious information or the car discriptions in GT5 if I'm interested in a short info on a specific car.

Nope. I don't even have my horn assigned to a button, currently.

Storing parts in the Items section
,
Nope, I usually just install them right away.

Split screen
Very rarely. There aren't that many occassions where I have somebody over that likes GT5. And where we have nothing more entertaining to do.

Any of the "social" aspects of online. The walls, the messages etc.
Nope. If I wanted Facebook, that would be what I'd be using.

GTTV
Never have never will
Horns
Pointless, waste of disk space
Split Screen
Yes when friends come round
Arcade mode
No because gtlife's practice mode is identical
Museum
Again waste of disk space
Online functions
I use the wall for trade feedback thats all
3D
probably when/if I get a 3dtv
Parts storage
only by mistake,I usually install straight away

Out of those, I only use arcade once in a while, the rest I messed with when I got the game, saw it was pretty pointless, and never looked at them again.

I was excited about GTTV and maybe some top gear videos, but it's all boring stuff. That, and the navigation is horrid.

GTTV - Visited but didn't really use
Horns - No, but I have an ambitious idea involving 7 white cars, 5 black cars and 12 different horns :-D
Split Screen - Not as much as previous GTs
Arcade mode - Love this, Can be more challenging than GTLife

There are a heap of things in GT5 that I just do not touch.

GTTV No, my PS3 isn't connected to the net.
Arcade mode Yes, I like to use it for races against the AI or time trials.
3D features No, 3D gives me a headache.
Museum No, my PS3 isn't connected to the net.
Horns No, the horns are useless in GT5.
Storing parts in the Items section No, I just install them on the car straight away.
Split screen Yes, alot of the time. Split-Screen is a MUST for any racing game. If PD ever removed this feature, I'd be angry.
