Does anyone know if Polyphony will ever make Top Gear Test Track a free download for players who still haven't beaten the beginner level race in the special events section of GT5?

Well I'd assume they won't since the game has been out since the time of the dinosuars and they've never once mentioned doing something like that.


But those special events aren't difficult at all, so...

just keep racing and it gets unlocked at a certain level. I never beat the TGTT challenge I have the test track. I think it's like level 5 or 10 not 100% though. It's unlocked very early though.

no, its in there and a reward for beating the special event. They are not hard, just keep at it, and check the way to cheat by driving a certain way but this might help

You only need to win the first race (Sambabus) to unlock the TG Track.

The second race (Lotus) wins you a Lotus Elise Type 72 '01

The third race (Kubelwagen) wins you a Jaguar XFR '10

I don't see the problem with cheating in a ridiculously boring and difficult test. The cars are on comfort hards (WTF?) and incredibly slow except for the Lotus. It was a poorly designed event with cars constantly crashing into each other. If PD is too lazy to fix a problem with a high-demand track, but attempt to fix another problem (hybrids), that's their problem. Exploit away GT5'ers.

Thanks that's not even the cheat I was taking about, The one Ive seen actually is something like that but uses the very first corner.

Less than 4min to victory lol

Trick is to get 2 wheels over the inside line where I ride the edge of the track, and go around the yellow triangle on the pavement, make sure not to hit a cone lol or get nailed by the other cars on the way back. Essentially you only need to do the trick on the first lap, it puts you way ahead of everybody and on the final lap lololol

I don't think this was poor coding, I think this was by design.

This is the only track you have to unlock. I think they knew this cheat would be discovered, maybe PD even leaked it.

Not the only track the ring has a glitch if Im not mistaken.
And the 24 hour version get unlocked through the AMG challenges.

I just checked, I do have Nurburgring 24h, and a version with time/weather change. Also a type V version.

And I haven't done any of the challenges.

Well they unlock for some other achivement then, but they are not there on a new gane start.

Hmmm. The account I was looking at was only used for remote racing my main account's b-spec drivers.

I did do some offline A-spec in my main account, but I don't think that would have transferred, and neither account has the TGTT. I do find the 11% trophies in that account a little odd though. Not really sure what trophies are though.

The track is most likely glitched because its a figure 8 track with a cross over section.

I'm level 40 A-spec and I don't have Top Gear test Track. I never had the patience to work past those silly buses and the track never was on my Bucket list anyhow..Even after seeing those vid caps I'm not sure I'm willing to do those stunts just for 1 track I care very little about and would use rarely.I've played the game clean up to this point and I see no reason to start glitching now.

If you are really having that much trouble beating that event, you could do the glitch/shortcut to win it. Up to you though.

I found that when I went & did it a 2nd & 3rd time, I nailed it easily.

With the Vettel one, I never bothered going past bronze.

The bus race and the schwimthingy were easy. Like any really low hp car momentum is key try not to let off the gas unless nessacery.
I hated the lotus event, dang thing felt like it was on ice.
