I saw that GT5 supports multiple monitors.
Wondering if anyone has this set up yet, and if so how exactly does it work?

not me... would say its waste of money

but if some1 got some monitors why not?^^

There is already a thread on this in the GT5 forum and yes people use it. I'm going to get a triple screen set-up in a year and a half or so. It adds to the immersion of the game. Saying it isn't worth it is like saying a wheel isn't worth it, It's all dependent on your budget and what you are looking to get out of the game.

Dude
3 monitors that should all be the same size.= $300.00
3 PS3,s = $900.00
3 copies of GT5 = $180.00
$1400.00 minimum wow if money is no object I guess so.

You can a good quality 24" LED monitor for around $200 and if you want cheaper, around $100-$150 for LCD. For this kind of setup you don't need bigger size screen. For PS3 and GT5, I recommend looking for a used one. I bought my 160GB PS3 (Slim) for $200 (Canadian which is pretty much the same as US$).

So here we go

3 x 24" LCD (@$150)= $450
3 x PS3 (@$200)= $600
3 x GT5 (@50)= $150

In all likeliness, you probably already has a PS3 and a copy of GT5 and a monitor/screen/tv. Besides you don't have to buy everything in one single purchase. When and if you have some money laying around, get one or two monitors. When you see a good deal on a used PS3, get it. The same goes for another two copies of GT5. Even if by the time you've got everything, GT6 has replaced GT5, you can still use the system.

You make it sound so reasonable i am debating if i should skip my rent a bills for a month and go get the set up :)

As i said it depends on what you want out of the game. I won't buy it unless I can absolutely afford it. I would say GT5 is my hobby and like most enthusiasts for any hobby I am willing to spend some money when I can to get the maximum enjoyment. Triple screen with a driving rig will give me that, until then I have a DFP and wheelstand pro.

You could get some YLOD PS3's and repair them (why pay so much for a spare PS3?) and I'm sure there are used copies of GT5 around. The real expense is the screens. But, buy some cheap ones (peripheral vision ones don't need to be amazing, you won't be looking at them too often)... Oh dear, I feel a series of vastly unnecessary purchases coming on!

I doubt there are any YLOD PS3's here... Cheltenham coming up hopefully it will be as nice to me as last year

It's hard to stay patient and wait after watching the videos in the other thread. My wife has already approved the purchase, just have wait until next year.:)

It will be to late the world is supposed to end next year.:)

thanks for the link to the other thread.
I wonder if any other games support that. Might make a set up like that more worth it then.
Any FPS would be cool with sideviews too!

Didn't they enable software copying recently or something?

nice link.

Not legally, no.

dupont, I looked online and couldn't find any other ps3 games that have mutli-monitor support.

I already have a huge widescreeb tv not interested in miltiple screen.
