I just find the whole Career mode tedious and useless in today's world of online racing. But that's just me and I understand that there are people who still do offline only.

Finding guys who want to race instead of just "play" has been hard. Even then finding "clean" races is even harder! Gotta be in a league with wily vets!
I preferred the longer License tests of previous games-I'm also finding it too easy to Gold them in GT6. I guess its aimed at developing a new fanbase with a less challenging career mode
The thing I have noticed is the license tests are way too easy, as stated in the OP. I have gotten Gold in every test so far, and it was very easy doing so. In GT5, I really had to work at some of them, which is not the case here....at least so far.
