Does GT5 actually have drag races?

Hey, I just wanted to ask if GT5 actually had some drag racing track or if this was some sort of niche community? I am just curious if this was a real thing or something from the online days of GT5 that I missed?

It was primarily an online lobby thing the general community would set up in the free run mode - usually on Indy, SSR7, or SSRX.

There was also the Speed Test mode with acceleration metrics and several distance marker time zones in the Route X DLC. Not sure if that’s quite what you were looking for, but even if it is it’s likely hard to access it now without an emulator or a hacked system since the PS3 store is long gone.

As far as head to head races from a dig against AI? That didn’t exist.
