Does it bother anyone else that every replay has 1-2s missing at the end?

This is bothering me a lot at the moment and I'm surprised that I haven't seen it discussed elsewhere yet.
Do you think there's any solid chance they'll fix this in a patch? Why would they even cut off the replays like that? You can't even see your final time appear... :(

Yeah, that was getting to me to, particularly with the license tests. 👍

And in these replays, they don't even show you the Gold times. They just show you a run, doesn't matter what.

Near pointless to look at a bronze time for complex tests.

I completely agree. Go back to the GT4 style, or even Prologue, but I like the long cool down look of the cars in GT4. And if you want to skip out, hit start.

Another thing which is wrong is that if you kill race music, there's no race ending tune to go with your position notice. Someone doing system design at PD was asleep at the desk with these two weird items in particular.

I rarely spend that much time watching replays anyway.

Som of us that enjoy cars enjoy the replays as much as driving. Replay managment used to be one of the things Kaz mastered - GT5 almost look sas if Kaz wasnt in the design team meetings half the time - ithas the "flavour" of someone elses hand all over it.

I've also always enjoyed the replays in GT games and though I haven't spent that much time with the game yet there are a few strange things I noticed: apparently you can only zoom hitting triangle in arcade races, there seems to be no option to follow the AI cars like in previous games pressing up/down and in the practice one-make races there's nothing you can do except change view with the pause button! Yeah, those missing last seconds also bother me too...

Actually you can you have to go to the live tunning monitor Click on the blue camera and switch the cars from there. 👍 Also change the view is with the select button.

If you want the race ending music with no track playing during gameplay, you need to use a blank audio track as the custom playlist in the game audio.

Thanks for the heads up! 👍 I did mean the select button just typed pause instead :dunce:
But it'll be hard adjusting after so many years using the same basic commands!

Yes a BIG WTF about this issue!

What reason could there possible be to cut every replay short?

Oddly enough, YES this does bother me. There are also some other issues with replays that are starting to bug me. Including clunky controls/interface and the unnecessary complexity to switch the camera from car to car.

Yeah, and I really wish they would change that because these menu transitions are painfully slow.

I keep pressing the d-pad and L1/R1 in the hopes that maybe it'll let me quick switch to the next car. Alas, my wish never comes true...:p

Yes, they could as well have left it out completely, I think it is that useless now.

What is the point in replay of a brake test when it stops before the car? Or a close race to the line, except the line? Coitus interruptus! And yeah, what about final time?

PD also removed the online rankings for time trials, and along with it the ability to watch top ten replays of other players. I used that a lot in gt5p, great for learning.

I can not help to think that these things are intentionally crippled, that we are not supposed to make too much of replays, not to speak of TT competition.

Why? Because PD knows that physics has to be changed several times over before it is right. Every time, TT results will be invalidated, and old replays are no longer representative of what is possible. So for now, they probably want to keep players from using replays for anything but nice little picture shows.
