Everyone just loves zero miles and zero switches cars in the Marketplace. Kinda of hard to get deals these days because of that. But does a good winning streak change your opinion of the car? Is it worth more to you if it has a lot of wins? Vote in the poll above and post what you think.

In my own opinion I'd like a car with a lot of wins. For I don't care for miles.
 
Why would it not make it more valuable with the wins. I mean look at all the outrageously expensive race cars from the 50s and 60s and they all have championships under their hoods. They have the proof that they were that good. I agree, I want a car that has proof of being a winner.
 
Well in real life winning cars are valuable, I still think they'd be valuable in a game. Even if they're not a race car.
 
thats an interesting point maybe people will stop looking for 0/0 cars and start looking for cars with 50 wins
 
I think it would really increase it's worth depending on the races it has done. Like if it won the 4 hours on Nurburgring I'd totally want that car. :)
 
ye we would have to start recording races to prove that they didn't just sit there repeatedly doing the sunday cup
 
I don't super care about either. I just want neat cars. Rarity overrules either, but wins is a close second. Miles I care the least about, because even if the hp goes down I assume a car in GT5 will always at least run.
 
I prefer 0 miles because it's nice to start a car from fresh (I don't care about switches because I like to see what the engine on a car sounds like) but i don't go specifically hunting for them

It doesn't matter to me, I will make any car a winner!
 
to rebuild cars it costs 1 million credits if they are mildly expensive

That nice and fresh feeling of a 0/0 is hard to beat. I have very little 0/0's but I can't wait to break them in!

I don't think I've ever received a card with wins on a trade, just like I've been holding onto my cars with wins, so I guess they are nice too.

That would pick up better trades and more. I have to many cars that I can't get rid of.

If so then that could bring some GT5 superstition (messed the spelling but you'll get me).
This car has wins, it has good luck - will help me win.

I could care less about the mileage. If I want the car I want the car. It's up to the seller to not be unscrupulous and sell a car that's worn out and needs an oil change. Send me a beat up car and I'll consider that a bad trade. I'd give more provenance to a winning car than to a low mileage car.

Nothing really changes my opinion of a car, though I prefer it in stock condition most of the time. I find a lot of cars drive REALLY well stock.
 
I wasn't a fan of 0 mile cars at first but like you said "Kinda of hard to get deals these days because of that." I just caved in and started collecting 0 mile/0 switch cars for trading purposes. I setup a second account just to keep my 0 mile cars in and perform most of my trades from there. My regular account consists of all cars that I plan on driving eventually. I just decided one day to stop complaining about it and conformed just to get the cars that I want.
 
How many wins the car has is absolutely pointless, who the hell cares? An XJ13 with 0 wins is the same as an XJ13 with 20 wins. Hell the 0 win car might have less chassis and engine damage...

0 switches= Important because no one modified the car.

0 miles= Important because the car has perfect chassis rigidity and engine.

0 wins= Pointless, maybe the other owner didn't drive the car, or was not very skilled...
 
driving a zero mileage car does not mean you will win against someone with the same car with 10k miles in it.
 
I disagree based of my personal experienced. I got (2) GTR Tuned GT Academy Edition. One was used and the other was with 0/0 switch/miles on it. No matter how much i modified and rebuilt the engine of the used one, it's horsepower won't come close to my 0/0 car that i personally modified, run and maintained. And it is a lot faster. Anyone noticed this too?
