Does trading give paint chips?

Simple, when a car is traded, do you also aquire a paint chip?
I gave this a search and found nothing

Original paint chip, yes.
When you paint the car in chrome for example, you won't get the chrome when gifting but you get the original paint chip instead.

And the car is listed as painted in the original paint.

Example: i traded for a black Lancer Evo V, originally painted yellow (painted black by its previous owner), but the car color in the identification was showing as yellow.
