Does UK get 003 and 004 models?

friend of mine said we (uk) only get polyphony 001 and 002 and not 003 and 004...is this true? will be very disapointed if this is the case.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I couldnt find anything on search.

ok considering your new here, welcome to gtplanet.

in the PAL version (UK and other countries besides america and cannada.) There are only 2 f1 cars in the game. But in the north american version their are 6 if im correct...But dont worry your not missing anything. In fact the 2 f1 cars you can get in your version are the 2 best in the north american version.

What are you talking about? There's no such thing as the Polyphony 003 or Polyphony 004 in any version.
 
Actually, the Polyphony 001 is the F094/S (the best F1 car), but the Polyphony 002 is the F688/S -- the worst Turbo F1 car.

Maybe he meant the F094/h, and so on...but it sounds weird...never heard of anyone mentioning something like an 003 or an 004 before...:odd:
 
my UK version only has poly001 and poly002...

but thats all you really need
 
the reason i thought there were 4 polyphony's is because if you goto the prise cars section of this website and goto professional and check the prise cars for the gt formula race it says there are 4 different cars to win from....f686/m, f687/s, f688/s, f90/sscroll to bottom

Yes, seriously. This one I think can slide, on the grounds that GTP is suffering badly (I wonder if it's anything to do with the Worm going about?) and the Search isn't working...

PAL
Polyphony 001 F1 car
Polyphony 002 F1 car

NTSC
F094/S (same as P001, but with different nose cone)
F094/H
F090/S
F688/S (same as P002 but with different nose cone)
F687/S
F686/M

This is just the start of a whole bunch of car differences - many due to regionalisation of car names, but some just due to PD hating us...

In US/NTSC prize lists, wherever a "F6" F1 car is slated, PAL gets a P002 and wherever a "F0" F1 car is slated, PAL gets a P001.

Scope - maximum signature length is 6 lines including blank lines. Could you shrink yours a little please?
 
done some more "playin" and just got a 001 that is 829 hp as opossed to 813 hp of the first one we (my pa and i) won (after obligatory oil change. this was after doing all golds on endurance...seems there are subtle differences only the names dont change only the specs do...pal version here in the uk (taxamillion)

Sometimes it does, sometimes it does. But there are a few pros, I think most of you NTSCers already know one of them.
 
Yeah I just found out I have the PAL version :(

I was going by a NTSC prize list and was really looking forward to all three turbo F1 cars.....

What are the PAL advantages other than the Ford V8supercar?

it sure does...but official sources say that GT4 pal wil have 6 F1s and NTSC will only have 1

NTSC Benefit = More F1 cars.

yea, but i dont like concept...as Bart Simpson says "I didnt think it was possible but this both sucks and blows at the same time"

also NTSC'ers get the Diablo...:(

No, there is an NTSC concept, its just japanese and i havent taken Hiragana, Katakana, and kanji in shool for awhile so..... :banghead:
 
Actually, there is and there isn't.

The game most people refer to as "GT: Concept" is really "Gran Turismo Concept 2002: Tokyo-Geneva" and is PAL only. There is another GT: Concept - "Gran Turismo Concept 2001: Tokyo" which is Japanese NTSC only. Confused yet? :D
