Doing a handbrake turn across over the finish line only to realize the finish line is further ahead or it wasn't the final lap.

Not realizing there was 10 seconds left on a timed race at Nordschleife. Crossed the finish line at full speed, smashed into the wall and dropped to 3rd

Buying racing tires only to find out the race only accepts sports tires.
Racing an opponent behind while on severely worn tires only to find he had already been lapped :p

What are your doh moments in GT6?

Racing in the Silverstone 10 Lap challenge, first tried in the SLS GT3 but finished 3rd.
Then tried the R18 TDI and caught up to the lead car after it pitted. I told myself that I needed to pit at the end of this lap, drove straight past the pit entrance and suddenly remembered, so I drove across the grass into the pits, I went straight thru and had to re pit again and finished 3rd again.

So I then tried the challenge a 3rd time. Same scenario, caught up to the leader on lap 7 when it pitted. I did one more lap and decided to pit at the end of lap 8. Drove straight past the pits a second time, realised slightly earlier so slammed the brakes and handbrake on, spun it round, drove the wrong way and pitted. Lost the lead and caught the lead car on Brooklands corner on lap 10.

This happens quite often...be it nurburgring, silverstone, deep forest etc...whatever track.

Im driving like regular speed, everythings cool, im enjoying the race....
suddenly some corner approaches too fast.
I panic, and try to make a hard turn in with braking, my wheel table moves a lil bit and i spill my drink....DOH!!

gotta pause and do a clean up....DOH!!

I shouldn't but I did laugh when I read that :D

Maybe a Mighty Mug would help :)

When I enter 24 minutes of Le Mans and mid-way thought 1st lap it starts raining and I remember: "I didn't buy intermediate or rain tyres..."

I got that too. But for some reason I felt better driving on racing tyres in the wet. It was the same in GT5. Not sure why though.

That happened to me as well. Started raining on the first lap. I didn't buy rain tyres so when they all pitted for tyres I carried on. I pulled out so much of a gap my two pitstops were for a full tank of fuel and I never lost the lead and I won it on my first try.

The other day I got my old G25 wheel out to try with GT6. I got a CSR Elite wheel but I wanted to try my old one. I was in a race and coming up to a hard braking point. My office chair rolls back so I have to hold onto the steering wheel when I brake hard. Going into the corner, I braked hard and the steering wheel came off my desk

It's better with my CSR Elite wheel as it's more secured to the desk. Anyone got any ideas on how to secure an office chair?

I drove all endurance with RS only so far.

Anyway:
Driving LeMans Endurace, pitting in the second to last lap, noticing that I took to less fuel, pitting again in the last lap, and AGAIN took to less fuel.
Ran out of fuel 1000m before the finish and got caught right before the last chicanes.
yes, it really happened.

Mmmm yesterday night i was driving on Nuburgring F1 track during a GT3 cars race, at the last chicane i hit the second kerb a bit too harsh and suddenly i found myself on 2 wheels and then rolling like an idiot.....
And my car set up was totally neutral, i mean... i didn't even change the car height or something ( i was driving the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport '13 ).
Nice rolls btw :banghead:

Plus i don't get it why when it rains the wet tyres are useless, as long as it's not 100% wet, :ouch: ! That's another Doh moment cause slick tyres on wet track it's not a good combination but for now it is and i feel like Ayrton Senna driving around like a boss  !

Remove the wheels, that's what I did to mine.

Bought the GT86 Race Car Base Model for the single make race, then worked out that it wouldn't let me enter it so I had to buy another car. Changed to Racing Soft tyres in the Silverstone 10 lap race with 3 laps to go because I thought they wouldn't wear out, they did in about 1 lap so I drove the last two like I was in a drifter, got lucky and won, but I basically got pushed over the line by second place.

Cone challenge: Gave up on it early (hated it). One weekend, my elder son (21) attempted it and after about 20 tries or so, finally managed to gold it. My younger son (10) was watching it and wanted to try. He beat the time (with a handy margin too) in his second try. Doh!

Spending lots of credits on a car to upgrade it to,for example, exactly 500PP,only to find about the limit is 750PP.

Lol, i got one, doing 4 laps on the nordschleife, and on the 3e lap flashing my headlights ''yeah i won'' over the finishline, and go off the throttle only to be overtaking by the rest because i needed one more lap to go

Doing a race with no hud, got to what I thought was the front of the pack, just said I'll take it easy and bring it home, little did I know that the front of the pack where I thought I was was 13 seconds back in 3rd place, this happened twice

Every time I press circle to exit from a tuning tab and exit settings altogether is a DOH! moment.
I have done that several times trying to collapse the tab.

A couple more
- Get to Roadster 1-make race, dont own one. Go to Mazda dealer, buy an MX-5 (MX5 '89 NA). Back to race. That particular model is not eligible. WTF? The MX-5 Miata '89 NA is though

- Enter BMW race with the Tii and trample the opposition. Go buy 120d for a bit of a challenge for the rest of the series. D'Oh, it is a single race!

My biggest doh moment was probably from hosting an online race. Waited for everyone to get ready started the race only to find that I forgot to enter it myself :dunce:

I bought a Hudson before winning a Hudson in the seasonal event. I didn't know it would be a prize car and I didn't check before.

One time, I did some practice online and I exited to the pits. I went to get a drink and when I came back, I found my car was in the middle of the track and there were cars crashing everywhere. Turns out I forgot that I entered myself into the race. It was the first time that a room I joined started a race and I missed it. Usually the ones I join only do practice

Using the Toyota 7 in the Spa-Francorchamps 24-Minute Challenge.

It was going well until the night came. The car had no headlights, and I couldn't see anything except when I was near the pit straight. It's just pitch-black everywhere else. On lap five, I was crawling near the chicane, trying to find the pit entry without accidentally bumping into a wall instead. I guess I just didn't know Spa that well after all, despite it being one of my favorite tracks.

Turning on the driving line helped though, and I was finally able to win the event by the third attempt.

Just a picture of the Toyota 7 approaching Eau Rouge:

I feel like the video was like ,"so its raining and everyone is on slicks" -cue montage of all the drivers skidding or crashing due to rain-, -cue Senna and him driving around perfectly in his awesomeness- Dang, I tried doing that on a 100% wet track, bicycles were more effective.

Doing the appricott endurance, using racing hard was about 4th then everyone pitted by midway and I had alot of tyre life left so I thought I'd decrease my pace slightly so that I don't have to pit during the race and achieve the win, few laps left the suddenly car dies ran out of fuel  (Mega Facepalm)

On a 2 lap Nurburgring race online, just finished going down the straight and ended up in 1st, the finish line is within touching distance..I start breaking and turning right. Only to meet a barrier, turns out I was racing on the 24H layout..dropped to third.

Coffeebreak - Cone Challenge 1

uh-oh giant gray conrete blocks ... better not hit them ... wait what? Foam blocks? Crash into them to hit more cones???

This.

I couldn't get gold for an embarrassingly long time - before I gave up, frustrated, and just rammed into one of the "concrete blocks" - only to realise that this was probably how it was intended to be done all along.. :banghead:

EDIT:
Oh, and I also bought the BMW M4 in order to use it in the seasonal event, just to find out that I didn't have to own it to do the event.. - Now I have two though.
