I believe my lap times were around 8:05 - 8:20. I need to start keeping race notes the way I keep tuning notes. I could have reached a higher top speed, I didn't setup my gear ratios before the race.

I can't wait for PD to implament different tyre wear rates for the different grades of tyres.

PS: I haven't turned off my PS3 for a month at least except to move it for my son to use in his room. I purposefully don't let it cool down as that is what causes it to break. Constant heat = ok. Hot/cold/hot/cold = bad.

Nice accomplishment. I can tell this was a lot of fun. Im going to wait for the save/Bob patch before i attempt this though. Good thing you didn't have the 01 R8 Audi in the mix or you would have gotten 2nd.

In all seriousness people shouldn't be shocked that a tarted up street car beat these Le Mans cars. It's a fantasy game with poor AI programing. In real life no similarly modded street car could ever do this to Le Mans Racer lol. It's a game. If PD programmed the AI to drive these cars, even to the in game potential, no road car would stand a real chance.

Look at the power to weight between any of the Le Mans cars vs the GTR and that will tell a big part of the real story. Then factor in the overwhelming downforce and mechanical traction the LMP cars have and you will clearly see this is fantasy. I enjoy the fantasy though.

Kudos to you for making this enduro challenging and fun.👍

I award you 5 faces.

👍👍👍👍👍

hey bro how hot was your ps3 after being on for 6 days. ...

Not very hot; I would say warm, but it reaches a constant warm temperature; I've left mine on for 3 months before, but I only did it because it was in a cool dry place; I would never dare to do that in the summer time though.

Sounds like you could do it with the Fireblade then, unless others are right about the R10 and my less grandeous (and apparently lucky) AI opposition in this race: I don't know much about these high end race cars and how they compare.

Amen to "constant heat"! Always been my impression too.

I wonder how Le Mans cars would fair at the Ring in real life though (from my understanding they do not really race there in the real life 24 H endurance race); my impression of the track is that it is very uneven and does much damage to the suspension and lower edges of the real road cars, with higher softer suspensions, that race the course. Le Mans cars have very low profiles and stiff suspension that might not really withstand this track. I know my GTR would lose in the real 24 H Le Mans, obviously, and would probably lose in GT5's endurance race, but I still wonder about the Ring. Also would road cars (some with AWD) not fair better on the grass than Le Mans cars in real life? I guess what I am saying is that road cars might endure the greater variation in road conditions more than Le Mans cars might. In many ways the Ring is more of a road than a track.

The Mulsanne is public road so it's pretty rough, but maybe the ring is too much?

does anyone know how many laps the Peugeot 908 can do before pitting on the 'Ring? thanks

I know this isn't really on topic as such, but I am currently doing the 24hrs of Le Mans and on Racing Hards in the dry I only get 5 laps. When the track is a bit wet I can get up to 10 laps on racing hards and a similar amount on intermediates. At a guess I'd say only 4 laps maximum if you are careful on the 24hr layout nurburgring.

You should be getting 7 laps at least on racing hards. Even with a torque heavy 908, you should get 7-8 laps.
