1. you were not on a Ducati...how could you be rossi :sly:
2. I wish I had one of those 2 stroke Aprilias
3. good to hear you walked away from the crash, I know people that have not.

Your not the only one. If i could find a new one id give my car for it.👍

to all of the people who have been saying that he shouldn't have been driving after 6 beers like six beers is an ungodly amount to drink you have to consider that he could have had those six beers over the course of several hours and still been way under the legal limit and you must also consider what kind of beer it is because i can drink 30 bud lights and still drive fine (i don't but i could) however 30 shiner bock's and it would be a different story. and lastly consider this he came in here to give you a warning based on his life experiences because some people are dumb enough to drive after they have had too much to drink, if he had come in and said holy s$%t i just drank six beers and got in a wreck it was awesome i could understand the hate but some of you guy's are beings 🤬

And I gave my opinion based on my life experiences, talk to me again if someone you love is hit by a drunk driver which I hope will never happen.
It's easy to say, sorry I've been stupid, it's much harder dealing with the lifelong consequences not asked for or chosen for.
The decision to drink and drive is a choice made before drinking, not after.
If that makes me a 🤬, then so be it.
Learned the hard way suffering from someone else's "stupid mistake", maybe food for thought before calling names.
He's the one bringing it up the way he did, can't expect everyone reacting the same to it now can you?
It's a serious offence ruining people's lifes, he got away with it now, many others don't (and often the ones who have nothing to do with it).

Couldn't agree more. Very well put.

I'm aware that it's Xmas season and wish everybody a nice holiday.
Please don't drink and drive! (moderators move this if it should be somewhere else)
I just came from a friends house and used his G27 for a session on GT5.
I drank only 6 beers but still managed to put my bike (aprillia RS250 2stroke, completely illegal in this country, fast as hell and smokes more than I!) into a a taxi because I was under the impression I was Rossi (luckily only road rash). This isn't fun and I'm now going to have to take a taxi to work because of the repair job.
My point is this; Don't screw up somebody's holiday/life because of alcohol!
I learned the hard way. Be thoughtful this season please! :)

i lost my best friend in high school because he rode with one of my other friends who had had too much to drink and they went into a ditch on a back country road going 90 and one of the several flips that the car did crushed in the roof of the car and crushed my friends skull between the headrest and the roof so i am not disagreeing with you in the fact that it was a dumb thing to do or that he shouldn't have done it but instead i was saying that we have little of the facts to the situation and his intent was as a warning to others not to do it and that maybe we should give the guy some slack for coming in and saying i did something dumb don't do what i did

Guys, he admitted he messed up and probably knew there would be some mean comments to follow but he still posted it because if it influenced ONE person, then he probably thought it was worth it.

Do I think he's an idiot for drinking and driving? Absolutely.

Do I think he did a decent thing by trying to inflence others not to be an idiot like he was? Yes.

Everybody makes mistakes and thank God no one was hurt. Now lets hope at least one person was affected by this thread and maybe prevent another incident like this from happening.👍

Oh, and even though Budweiser tastes like "water", it is still the #1 selling beer in the world! Yes, I drink Budweiser. (But not when I drive!:scared:)

1% blood alcohol level you'd be dead. At .5 I believe you're in a coma .It's closer to .1 or something

err ya that. whatever it is, I don't drink if im driving anyways so have never had to worry about it. but whatever the limit is is less than it takes for many people to get drunk

Seconded (though Bud is really not nice lol)

Anyway drive a car, marginally safer AND marginally faster around a racetrack!

But never drink drive or drink ride, any alcohol impairs judgment, however marginally. I do OK in GT if i've been drinking, but only because perhaps I take more risks, because I can. I'm not endangering innocent people.

Also Rossi doesn't ride a Ducati. Well OK he will next season :)

EDIT: I was seconding Gasolinejunkie, but i guess rilyra too =)

I see, I'm in america so that has to mean I drink the tap water they call Budweiser?

No, what I was trying to say is: if you don't even have a buzz after six beers, the beer sucks. No offense meant.

I am aware there is better beer in america than Budweiser. MUCH better beer, its just most people don't seem to realise that Budweiser =/= real beer.

"Light beer is like having sex in a canoe. ****ing close to water"

No1. selling beer in the world, just as Lady Gaga selling lots of records, that doesn't mean its any good.

The first post is so wrong on so many levels:

Be glad you only need a Taxi and not a wheelchair.

Sorry to hear that and thankfully you agree on the most important issue, don't drink and drive, ever.
Although cutting someone some slack involves more to me than simply saying it's stupid and he only had 6 beers and then boasting about their illegal motorbike as well in the process suggesting not must thought went into it yet.
Seemed to me he's more upset about his bike being damaged than a heartfelt and sincere apology or deep insight, considering it's only a few days ago anyway, people don't change suddenly overnight, starting a thread about it doesn't convince me he did anyway, especially considering the way he formulated it.
I will say that I agree with GasolineJunkie that it hopefully warns others, although I hoped this wasn't even necessarry on a forum like this with hopefully only reasonable intelligent people posting here, ah who am I kidding....

To each his own!

There must be a heck of a lot of people who think Budweiser and Lady Gaga are dang good if their sales are up! I don't like Lady Gaga, but I'm not going to say she's no good. She seems to be doing ok for herself, along with Anheuser Busch.

Your opinion is that neither one is good, but the facts are that alot of people think they are. I don't like the Veyron, but I'll bet there's alot of people on here that think otherwise!

He acknowledged what he did wrong and is trying to make up.

Lol, there is no way to "make up" for drinking and driving in today's day in age, especially after drinking 6 beers. He shouldn't have done it in the first place.

It's like trying to explain a robbery gone bad...
-"I didn't mean to shoot the person, officer, I just wanted the money."
-"That's OK, son, we'll just leave out the attempted murder charge since you didn't mean to do it."

OP is stupid.

If I can't get Guinness / Bass then Budweiser is the goto beer because every bar has is on tap just about and is usually cheaper. There are plenty of worse choices out there...keystone, natty, pbr, beast, bush, coors... now those are water!

I see, I'm in america so that has to mean I drink the tap water they call Budweiser?

Budweiser is owned by an American company, but is brewed in Canada. Cept we brew you the crappy 4% kind while we reserve the 5% for ourselves, hehehe!

No wonder Americans are so fat, they gotta drink like a 1/3 more beer to get the same buzz going as Canadians.

My American bottle of Bud in my fridge says 5%.

Ok, I'm gonna stop making myself look like a Budweiser activist.

You really think our bud comes from canadia and not the local budweiser breweries? come on billy...

Yer just some hateful cannuck trying to take cheap shots...

Lol, you are correct...I just can't stand ignorant Americans...I've met waaaay too many.

On that note, my comment about Budweiser brewed in Canada may sound ignorant, but on all the bottles it says "Brewed in Canada", so i based my comment on that.

And a question...What is the alcohol content of most American beers? I know it is less than Canadian beer on average.

Glad you are ok and nobody got killed. I am sure you have learned a lesson or you would not have posted this experience.

Happy Holidays!

depends on the beer. normal domestics are 5% some 5.5 or 6. but there are alot of micro brews you can get in bars/stores that are higher...just not gonna find them on tap anywhere

and dammit billy, you cant use wiki as a credible source...

btw: tell terrance and phillip I said "sup" :D

Also, I'm glad you're drunk self crashed your illegally imported crotch rocket. I bet you think you're cool driving those annoying fairy-boy bikes around.

All the time I see these jokers driving between cars stuck in traffic, and the next time I see one coming my way I'm just going to swing my door open so they crash right into it. Then they can pay the insurance to fix my car as well as learn a big fat lesson.

^Frustrated guy is frustrated. 👎

Cut him some slack. Why would his insurance pay to fix your car if you're deliberately causing a collision? Not to mention the fact that you would only increase the length of a traffic jam if you would just stand in traffic with a motorcycle.

ONLY 6 beers and then drove? WTF is wrong with you? THAT was stupid! 👎

Man, dont you know the rule? you must have 8 beers to drink and ride! :sly:
I remember bar hopping with a group of 50 in DFW. Good times!

Oh...really....I ran into a guy like you once....he ended up having to walk home because of two perfectly slashed tires from trying the same thing....as I walked back to my bike you could hear the locks lockin!

Lanesplitting as they call it, is perfectly legal in some states. Check your state for further details!
