AFAIK, the G27 works fine with the GT5:P - exception made to the paddle shifters and LEDs. As for compatibility with the PS3, I think that many members here have no problem with it in other driving games on PS3.

I bought a G27 last October, when the prevailing wisdom was that GT5 would be released sometime this Spring. Knowing what I know now, if I could go back, I would have held off on the purchase. The G27 is an improvement over the G25--no doubt about it: better force feedback, better shifter, adjustable pedals, etc.
But there's no substitute for having paddle shifters in a racing sim. I've reverted back to using my DFGT for Prologue so I can use paddle shifters in the game.
Using the 6 speed shifter without the clutch is a disadvantage in my opinion, plus, it puts too much wear and tear on the shifter. I'm just going to keep the G27 in the box until (if?) GT5 is released later this...(say it! :ouch: ) Fall/Winter.

i have DFGT for almost a year with no problems on alignment, many G27 users faced the same problem , read many threads on different forums on the web

It will never be "officially" compatible with GT5(or any PS3 game for that matter) since it's a PC wheel that also happens to work on the PS3 since they both use the same FFB system. The only wheel that will be "officially"compatible is the DFGT.

It is officialy compatible with other ps3 games though... (for example the ps3 version of dirt 2)

Don't forget the previous Driving Force wheels... DFPro and DF EX.

My G25 does this also, especially after periods of non-use.

After a couple of days of use it gets better, but still, if I have to counter steer hard the centre of the wheel goes way off, I have to disconnect and reconnect to fix it, bit of a pain in the middle of a 10 lap online race ! I usuall wait till the straight at Fuji to perform this re-calibration !

my g27 is perfectly fine with the PS3 and any game I've tried with in that supports wheels.

Had it for about 3 months now

The first wheel I had came with a broken shifter unit out of the box though, something Logitech quality control should have catched...

So, it's possible this is just a case of a broken wheel...

G27's issues with GT5P (latest GT5P update was well before G27 came out) were not present with the GT5 time trial and I am certain it will be just fine in GT5.

As mentioned the G25 and G27 will not ever be 'officially' supported by GT as even said by Kazunori himself G25/G27's are not or never were GT wheels like the Logitech DF, DFP, DFGT etc. But don't worry they will still work very well.

As a precautionary measure, I always make sure my G25 is plugged into the first USB port on the PS3 and use it controller # 1.

G27 will not ever be officially compatible to GT5. But like fanatec turbo S, it works fine with it. Sony gets cut from every DFGT is sold.
